    Morning all.

No idea how I did on my list over the weekend as I can't find it! I think I've gone a bit ostrich of hoping for a miracle on the debt because I just can't see how its going to be cleared any other way.

ETA: Found the list, did badly!

    Tonight:

Get internet back on my phone
Call BUPA and cancel life insurance
Take out life insurance with Legal & General
    Do 5 vine reviews
    Make appointment to meet bloke
    Competitions if I have time
    Shred

Leave eBay for tomorrow, I'll make more from swapping the life insurance anyway, and I think I might be dragged up to mums to help her set up her new phone if it arrives.

Be handy if you did as you have more patience with these things, but I need to know if I should order one for me too or if I won't like the interface.

What a weird story Ruby... not sure that someone like that is quite the person to be looking for work in a mental health ward, more like looking to live there! Exciting about the interview near your OH, hope it goes well!

Thanks everyone. Went to stay with OH this weekend and he's so excited at the thought I might be moving there soon. He dragged me into House of Fraser to look at homeware stuff.

And Birdie, I did think it was all a set up to start with, like he was a patient and they were watching to see how I reacted with him. But then about half way through the "conversation" I realised he was actually just a creep.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, I've been off the wagon weight loss wise in spectacular fashion! OH treated me to a bottle of wine (each!) and sticky toffee pudding that he made himself. Jeans aren't quite as loose now :o

Starting her on the plastic early Wendz :D

I'm with medicash, we each get £10 in love to shop voucher is I refer someone, although I had no end of hassle trying to refer Birdie. I looked at all of them and for the level of cover I wanted they were the best, but might not necessaries be for you, it's worth a quick look around - Martin has an article :D

Wine and pud sounds lovely Ruby! Worth falling off the wagon for! I've been really struggling to lose any podge recently and it's really getting me down, I've been going to the gym 4 nights a week, not eating too much, generally looking after myself reasonably well (not brilliant I'll admit, but certainly not terrible!) and the weight just will not shift, I feel and look like a right blobbo. I've been struggling ever since changing my pill so I'm convinced it's related to that, once we get back from the honeymoon I'm coming off it and hopefully I'll get back to normal! Speaking of the pill, I'm so annoyed with my Drs, I just went to pick up my prescription and they've made it out for my old pill, I wouldn't be so annoyed had I not written the exact name of the one I wanted on the form. Grrr, how stupid! Now I have to go and see the Dr tonight for a review because they don't have the one I need on the system (despite me ordering it as a repeat 3 months ago?!) to make sure that I can have it... then I have to find an open pharmacy at 5.30 so I can actually get my hands on the darn things! I've had nothing but problems with them over my pill... it's like they're trying to get me pregnant!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

    Hey all!

Back from hols feeling all relaxed and well (and probably a bit smug) and relieved not to come back to any nasty surprises - money wise or other. I've only got 2 weeks left at my current job and it's scary that it's come around so quickly, not to mention that I've got a shedload to do before I finish!

I'm slowly catching up on all the chat from the last week...

Glad Dinah and NIM enjoyed NYC and your first wedding anniversary in style. So sorry about your Granny NIM, glad you were able to get back for the funeral, and sounds like real progress with your mum and Dinah.

BIG congratulations to CMD on baby Evie - lovely name for a beautiful baby! Hope the whole family is doing well, is Max a very proud big brother?

Congrats also to Tete on the GNR - amazing!

There was LOADS to catch up on - sorry to hear about all the bad karma floating around, but lots of good stuff too :)

I'm looking forward to getting back to some exercise/reviewing my finances/starting to think about Christmas/taking up a new hobby and an autumn wardrobe.

Lara, I'm totally having the same thoughts as you on some positive splurges. I really need to work on my wardrobe for internship and start looking more professional - I don't want to spend loads, but going to start with giving myself a jewellery budget to buy some simple earrings and stuff to make me look more polished. I never wear jewellery and I think it will make all the difference. Plus nice bag and some good quality shoes (wow, I really am turning into my mum) will be half the battle.

Birdie, glad your OH is on the 'planning is best' bandwagon and looking forward to your honeymoon. Re wardrobe, I find you never wear half the stuff you take, so just take your favourites and save room in your suitcase for shopping and pressies!

good luck with your list tonight Dinah, but you don't seem to be taking it very easy...! Are you feeling any better? x
