I'm def up for an October challenge Dinah, need to do some exercise, some clearing out and some financial bits. I've started doing the free bingo again and won £24 quid yesterday which I'm telling myself is the universe almost returning my £30 to me. Karma is restored! ETA: Just checked my day zero - I'm on 36%, but I only have 50 things on there so far. Must think of some more...
I think there are enough of us to set some goals for October. Tempted to call it goals rather than a challenge, sounds a bit more positive.
What free bingo do you do? I've been meaning to get back into this.

Hello all! I wish I had more time to pop by and chat, the days seem to be going really quickly! It is the 10 week countdown to Aus tomorrow.. SO EXCITED! :j On a related note, your honeymoon has come around quick Birdie! I can't wait to see your pics when you get back!
CMD, repeating what I said on facebook - congratulations! Evie is a beautiful name for a beautiful girlSpeaking of, how is everyone doing on their day zero goals? I really wish it allowed you to friend people on there or follow them.
I really wish that too. Mine are going fairly well. I printed off my list and just highlight them when they're done. I'm going on a half-day falconry thing this week so that's another thing ticked off!had to nix the whole 'Prepare a Rugby Tea' thing (which has been a big thing for me to actually be brave enough to do for years) as a local restaurant has taken over the catering so it's no longer hanging over my head! Changed it to receive a Fortnum and Mason hamper!
Haha! Love how you changed it to from something you'd have to do, to something you'd get.
Congratulations Ruby on the job news! I really feel your awkwardness at the creepy guy though. I'm dealing with one of those at my work at the mo..

Hi All!
Nice to see the absentees sneaking back!
Can't believe it's only 10 weeks until you go Zig! Argh, exciting!!!!! :j
I was telling my Mum all about the Director of Fun and the cheap balloons on Saturday and she glared at me and said, 'I know' through gritted teeth... turns out she'd already been in touch with the hotel to organise balloons for us! Oops!Ah well, OH doesn't know about any of it so at least he'll still be surprised!
What a weird story Ruby... not sure that someone like that is quite the person to be looking for work in a mental health ward, more like looking to live there! Exciting about the interview near your OH, hope it goes well!
Cinny if you're going on a roadtrip with Percy, please pop into mine on the way up! I may steal him off you though...
Well done on the GNR Tete! Did you high five Ant or Dec?! Our friend ended up not running, silly boy played rugby on Saturday (as did OH after swearing that he wouldn't... I'd have killed him if he'd hurt himself!) and he hurt his knee so could barely walk never mind run. Now I don't feel so bad about forgetting to sponsor him!
I packed my suitcase yesterday and I've got a big list of things to buy when I get paid tomorrow- nothing like waiting to the last minute to go holiday shopping! I'm also having a bit of a 'How much do I take?' dilemma. I'm not sure if I should take the bare minimum expecting to buy loads- but what if I don't get as much as I was expecting and end up wearing the same 4 outfits every day? Or should I take enough to get by expecting to buy some bits but not too much since we're unlikely to be spending too long shopping - but what if there are mega amazing sales with everything in my size and I go mad?! ... Argh I don't know! Stupid Thomas Cook with their stupidly low luggage allowance! At least OH isn't taking much so I can 'borrow' his extra kgs on the way home! And since the camera on my phone doesn't work I don't need to keep the memory card empty so I filled it last night with movies and TV shows to watch on the plane, I think I've got more than enough to entertain me on both flights, which I'm not looking forward to!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Can I bring a pug?
Yes if it won't eat the catThe thing I'm finding hard with all this is making sure I'm eating perfectly for what I'm doing. And I thought I was, until I tore a muscle and was told I needed daily protein shake to up my intake. To me protein shakes = body builders. So I never even thought of it! Then there's all the supplements, and daily detox tablets. gahh, brainspin!
I think my food intake is probs fine, although I'm back on the bike now so I'm going to need to up it a bit I think.NIM - How did Cinny get into the mancave? Did you remember the "No girls allowed poster?"
Hope she doesn't have any pictures.
If she tried the emp will have fried the camera, and of course I remembered it.is it the tracker ball or trackerpad?
If it is the ball it could be dirt, can of air sorts that out.
If pad, could be an electrical issue
Pad.
I've got my chest all puffed up today, new personal best on the bike into work, finally got my average speed over 14mph...just:j for the just under 8 mile ride. Next target is getting my time down to less than 30 minutes. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

Birdie & Dinah - I'm sure Percy would love to meet you too
Although he's going through a nose biting phase! He's a lovely little muffin. I'm sure he'd get on with your kitty too Dinah, one of his favourite things is to try and snuggle with [STRIKE]Sh*tface[/STRIKE] Pippin. He's such a little meatloaf getting, I almost put my back out picking him up on Friday.
Sorry for scaring you Archers! :rotfl: I made OH watch Losing It With Jillian last night and he had the typical first reaction to her - the basic hatred. I told him to watch a couple more episodes and he'd be as scary as me when it comes to exercise. Got to be 100% with it or there isn't much point! Something must be working though, I've lost 11lb in 6 weeks, dropped a dress size and almost fitting into a 'Primark calls it a size 12 but it's more like a 10' pair of jeans.
Bless your Mum though Birdie! I wouldn't have said anything if I were her - double the balloons! I can't wait to see the photos when you get back either.
My Sister is having an awesome time in America though, she's off to Disneyland and Vegas this week I think! Then she's staying in LA in a couple weeks, and someone's offered to fly her out to Florida for a week and put her up if she wants. She almost didn't get in to America though - with her pink hair and hipster grunge look they thought she was sneaking in to work! She said they kept her for 45 minutes, and just tore her suitcase open and started throwing things about. Like seriously, how is looking in her luggage going to prove if she's working or not?!
Looking forward to hearing about the GNR Tete, I saw it on BBC 1 yesterday and thought 'Oooh, I might see Tete!' but then OH came in and put the football on and I died a little on the inside.
Good luck with your goals Starnac!0 -
Morning all,
Well done on the GNR Tete , i did have a watch for a few mins but didn't spot you hehe.
Ohh 10 weeks to go, so exciting Zig!
Bless your Mum Birdie, great minds obviously think alike. Is tricky about the packing, I would take enough for a few outfits but you can always get more stuff out there.
Cinny - you are doing so well with the losing weight! Glad your sister is having a fab time, the seccurity in america are scary!
We had a nice day at the fun day yesterday. My Mum and Dad both came up and they had a canal boat tug of war, duck race and we went on a boat ride.
Off to the shops this morning and then having a second look at the nursery i think we are going for this afternoon.0 -
