Flower - how are you doing? Not long now!

I'm fed up now! I want this baby out!
Although I am slightly concerned about how OH is going to be when the time actually comes. I was having really bad Braxton Hicks last night and OH was in a right flap :rotfl: whats he going to be like when I do actually go into labour.
Have told him i'm lining up a reserve birthing partner :D

Hey guys, thanks for all the messages. As D said we've been expecting it for a while but it was still a blow. And I'm also convinced shes right that I'm going to go to pieces as soon as I see any member of the family. But she was peaceful and most of her children were there with her when it happened.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

  • Hi all,

Sorry I have been MIA. My screen broke on my laptop but is fixed now.

NIM - I am so sorry to hear about your Granny. I am glad she went peacefully, that will be of some comfort to you. It's great that you can make it to the funeral though.

Also am delighted you both had a lovely anniversary holiday.

Birdie - not long for your holiday now!

Wendz - that top is gorgeous. No wonder you bought it for Poppy!

Flower - I also had some pretty bad BH's the other night and have had a couple of other signs that my body is preparing for labour. I just hope baby holds until my Mum arrives on Monday.

Starnac - when do you finish?

Zig - how exciting that you are going to Oz in November now. How are the plans for it going? Don't miss out on the Whitsunday Islands anyway, they are so beautiful. The weather will be fab too :)

I am grand. Had a horrific week with MIL. It's hard to really know where to begin. We have always had a fractious relationship but the last few times I saw her she was behaving (as much as she can) but for someome who came over to help myself and OH she fairly knows how to sit on her !!!!. I can't fault her interaction with Max and bringing him out and about but she got her dinner served up to her every evening, loaded and unloaded the dishwasher a couple of times, and swept the sitting room floor once. She promised to iron last Saturday after telling me to stop doing it and never did it. There are a lot of things I can't be doing such as bending, stretching, ironing, mopping, walking long distances due to complications with this pregnancy. I don't expect that she would have done them all but she did none of them. Then just sat there with a bored expression on her face when Max was having a nap or was in nursery.

The other day she brought him out for a walk and even though she knew we had discussed having spag bol for dinner passed by the shops and myself, OH and Max had to go out in the rain and get the food.

There was other worse stuff as well that I don't want to go into but I have told OH is welcome to bring the babies to see his parents but I won't be going to their house anymore, and she won't be welcome in mine.

oh dear CMD. Sorry you had such a bad time with your MIL. Things will be better on monday when your mum arrives. How long is she staying for?? Is she staying til the baby is born?? That's not long now is it??

I finish work tomorrow. Can't wait. Roll on 9.45pm tomorrow evening and I will officially be a lady of leisure. For a while anyway :)

Things will be way better when my Mum arrives and OH's foot is improving so much now. Just wish MIL hadn't come over. Everyone I know doesn't like her so I know it isn't just a MIL/DIL thing - she is nasty about everyone and can't even go into a shop without passing some nasty comment.

Wow - finished tomorrow. Bet you can't wait to chill out before the baby arrives!

NIM - I am glad it was peaceful and she had family with her.

Flower - aww at your OH, he will probably surprise you. Mine is a bit squeamish so i thought he did really well ! Oh and when you get nearer the due date do lots of walking, i swear that is what made Poppy come early hehe.

CMD - what a nightmare! She was supposed to be helping you and did the opposite. At least your Mum is coming to see you soon. How long to go now for you?

Starnac - yay for maternity leave! Hope you get some time to sort things out !
