Ohh good find Birdie, I do actually really like that!
Skirt and top combo could be an option tto thanks Tink!0 -
Hope you're feeling better Lara, I've been feeling rough all week - it's rubbish.
I need some advice girls!
Here's my situation. I live with my grandparents, who are due to move into their new house at Christmas. I was going to be moved out by then but obviously that changed when I became single.
I rang the airmiles people earlier to book my Aus flights. I wanted January but they only have the end of November or the end of February.
If I choose November - costs me £520, but it means I'm out of my grandparents' hair and I'm in Aus sooner. But I also miss Christmas with my family and have less time to save and get skinny.
If I choose February - it will cost me £275 (I have more airmiles due to come in November so I can't book my flight til then.) But by November the February flights might be gone so it could be March. Plus it means I'd still be living/camping at my Nan's (smaller house) which I know they don't want. But it means I have more time to save and get skinny.
Argh! Decisions!! Any advice would be gratefully received!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

That dress is lovely Birdie/Wendz, good find indeed! Also thanks for the choc tip
Naturally I've eBayed all my old diet books so am kind of doing it from memory, but will keep an eye out for that one, a new book always spurs you on a bit I find as you want to make it 'pay' for itself!

Sorry Zig - crossed posts. That is a toughie. Could you realistically afford to go in November without it putting you under too much strain? That is a good saving on flights if you wait though. As for getting skinny, I wouldn't worry about that! Firstly because I'm sure you don't need to, secondly because I think when you're over there you'll find it easy to lose weight without trying. I worked in Dubai for a month and lost a stone mainly eating fast food - I was walking everywhere, the heat made me lose my appetite and I generally had better things to do than eat!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0

Shrimpy, here's the link to the book, there are loads of recipes on the health and beauty board too to stop you from getting bored. I'd love to go back to that diet but sadly it doesn't suit our time/finances right now! Was great when OH was off work as he had time to make me the fancier meals every day but it just doesn't make sense to do that when it's just me on my lonesome every night!
Glad you like the dress Wendz, I had to laugh at the shot of the model whipping one out to prove how easy it is!Nice to know that such things exist too!
Zig, I don't really know what the best solution would be, what would you do between now and February if that's what you choose? I'd be tempted to go in November as once I've made my mind up about something I don't like having to wait ages to do it! There'll be lots of people in a similar position as you over Christmas so I'm sure you'll have company and it might be fun to do the holidays a bit differently for one year. If you can afford it, go for it! I agree with Shrimpy about the weight too, it'll drop off when you're there anyway! Funny thing too, my Mum's friend's daughter moved to Melbourne about 3 months ago and is shocked by how fat the Aussies there are!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Thanks for the link Birdie, I just happen to have £5-something credit in my Amazon account too. Temptation comes in so many forms! Also I love the fact that their website is callled pig2twig.co.uk!
Zig - I guess if you went in Nov you could use your other airmiles to fly back...? I think my impatience would get the better of me too if I'm honest! As much as I love Christmas, I was away for it too and it wasn't as bad as I expected, it was actually quite a novelty, we had shop bought turkey sandwiches on the beach and wore our Santa hats! (Christmas obvs isn't really a 'thing' in Dubai!)Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -

I've spent the last half hour browsing on Amazon after that link!
Was good though and joined the library online instead! Surely deserving of a :money:!

I would want to go in November but i am impatient! Might be more sensible to go next year and save on flight plus more time to save money. I agree that you will prob lose weight while there anyway!
Been swimming this afternoon, think Poppy is liking it more now as she was smiling and squeaing.
Also had a look around the nursery we were looking at Poppy in as they were having a open day. Quite liked it so will have to think about that one.0
