I'll add you to the list now Tink.

Feeling a bit teary today as it's 6 months since grandma went. And then I tried to send NIM a cheering message and it made me blub so now I'm crouched behind my monitor at work trying not to let anyone see me cry. Counting on some good news or just distracting banter on here today to get me back on the path to holding it together please ladies. x

Aw - it must be very hard. Hope your okay!

Not really good news but I forgot to mention yesterday that I went to the midwife and instead of my baby lying head down (which is where it should be!) it is lying across me. I like to think of it as lying in a hammock chilling out in there! It made me smile anyway, although I hope the divil moves down into position soon or I will be looking at a c-section!

They're more likely to move later on aren't they? Hope s/he sorts themselves out in there soon. I do love the hammock image though!

Yeah, they can move up until 36 weeks. I checked back and Max had moved to the head down position at this stage though. This one just wants to be awkward! Am not going to start worrying until my 34 week appointment!

Loving the shoes! NIM, don't complain, you're outnumbered!

Well done on the Yougov cheque Amy, always nice when unexpected/forgotten about money arrives! :)

Is anyone going to watch Harry Potter this weekend? OH is so excited, we're going tomorrow to watch the first showing of the day at 11.45 since we can't go tonight, I'm still weeping over the cost though, we *had* to pre-book premier seats so we could pick where we're sitting as he was worried about us ending up in a corner but it's ended up costing us £26! This is why we don't go to the cinema very much any more!

Does anyone know much about the Laterooms.com 'Top Secret Hotels'? Looking for hotels in London and I'm trying to figure out what some of them are, Mum's been quoted £120pp for 2 nights in a 3*, I can get a 'Secret' hotel for £90ish-pp but she wants to know which hotel she's going to end up in before booking, even if it is guaranteed 4* :)

ETA: I took too long to reply! Sorry you're feeling blubby Dinah, hide under the desk and pretend you've lost your pen!

I like the thought of your baby chillaxing in there CMD, you must be comfy to live in! :)

    Morning all,

I don't think Poppy fancies waking up yet today, still asleep on my lap haha.

    Love the shoes archersluck!

Dinah - hope you are ok today x

CMD - get on one ofthose gym balls to encourage it down or apparently getting on all fours on thefloor can help haha. The second ones don't engage until later anyway normally do they so it prob has more time to turn first.

If you copy and paste the hotel description Birdie and google it then you canusually work out which one it is, as they don't change the wording. Or that's certainly how it works with the secret ones on lastminute.com. There is also a thread on MSE which 'exposes' the description and matches it to the hotel - very handy. Again, google the description and the MSE thread usually comes up. x

I was doing that last night and some of them took me to the thread on MSE but I couldn't find the description! But maybe I was tired and just didn't see it....

Aye maybe try over the weekend when you've got more time. Sometimes I found it easier to look on MSE for the abrdiged description ie where it says 'Stylish and lively hotel near Kings Cross' (although you probably don't need to look for one like this, as it's probably a brothel).

Well, doing what I do best to distract myself, I made a to do list.

    This weekend

    Find HSBC business chequebook
Put Natwest chequebook in my bag to complain about it
Call old house insurers to complain
See if there are any comps I want to enter for the 16th/17th/18th/19th/20th
    List 10 things on ebay
Finish listing all the books on amazon
    Tidy the guest room
find new fixed price energy provider
find past payslips for tax codes
Wrap all parcels from ebay/amazon sold Thursday & Friday
    Book courier for material package
    Tidy our room
Finally sort out locked in TAB funds
Find out how much we made in extra income in the entirety of June and 1st July to now
Book trainline tickets and London hotel
    Create a business finances spreadsheet
Sort out business banking for both accounts
    Tidy my study
Finish the last 30 pages of my book
Apply to be a sloggi knickers tester
Cross something off my day zero list
Thrill Cinny by finally posting an SOA
Look again at all sites to see if I can get car insurance cheaper
Find out who supplies our life insurance, and when its due

    Aren't I good - I have 1 thing on there as relaxation!
