Ahh new thread! Hi to the other new ex-lurkers.
I'll join the challenge as well please, my only debt is my overdraft and my tax refunds taking care of most of that. But joining the real world where you only get paid a month in arrears has meant I've borrowed from myself a bit so I'll have to get organised then work out how much I really owe! Like swinstie I could cheat a bit as graduations currently earned me £620, I have very generous relatives! Then again I've always been very mediocre throughout life, no 3 As at A level or anything so it's nice to do well in something this one time
I got my graduation shoes but they look rubbish on the website! http://www.kurtgeiger.com/online-shop/174516-carvela-auto/ They're pretty high but theres a chunky heel and straps to keep them on. They wern't that cheap either but I got them from the designer outlet so not too much more.
All this wedding cost talk is scary! Sounds fun though.

Hi,
£50 cheque today for me from Yougov, nice surprise as I have forgotten about it.
Dinah, if you look on the Grabbit board, there is a thread on Travelodge double charging people for bookings made on the 9th of June. Maybe something to do with that, as I think it has been a massive problem?
Looks like the challenge is really focusing people and giving us(me) the motivation to do jobs from their 'I'll do it when I have time' list0 -
Hello, well I'm not too sure how I'm going to work my challenge but I couldn't resist making a ticker (took forever to choose) so I'm in! I went for the little fish with the red lipstick on
Archersluck, lovely shoes but they are SOME heels - yikes! I'd never be able to wear them - I bought these in the office sale a few months back and they're so high and the heels are so thin I just can't trust myself in them!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Well it took us to page five to start comparing shoes - very MSE indeed!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

As I'm not one for being a cheaterand house comes first (not able to save much) I'll just take my £900 and enjoy my holibags when it comes. Good luck everyone.

Me me me please can I join? I just am so super busy at the moment that I can't get online much
I can't do a ticker rightaway but I think quidco have paid £53.86 to me today (I'll have to check my bank later and let you know) but it's tracked quite quickly and £50 was for opening a Halifax reward account (you get £5 every month you pay in £1000) I might see if OH can sign up for one too! My £1000 will be for a shopping spree (wouldn't spend £1000 but I want to go soon!!) or I might be sensible and save it for things in my new flat (I'm moving in September!)
Not much else really to add just excited to see the newbies/ex-lurkers!! Welcome!
Cinny when do you get the money/car? And how's your boyfriends new job?0 -
(and I'm not a make-upy person with skills like the multi-talented Cinny)
Aww, shucksHonestly Lara, and I know I'm going to sound cheesy, but from the pure happiness wedding glow you'll look completely flawless. But, £450 does seem crazy. I'd totally shop around if I were you, or do you have a makeuply and hairyly talented friend you could rope in?
And Shrimpy, it's going really well. I have a couple more one off booking jobs too. Thanks for askingarchersluck wrote: »But joining the real world where you only get paid a month in arrears has meant I've borrowed from myself a bit so I'll have to get organised then work out how much I really owe!
That happened to us too! We didn't have a clue either, it was just like 'Oh, BT have taken some more money.. that's wwweird' You'll get the right way up soon enough and those shoes are lovely! Not that I could walk in them
Still no word yet Tink! By the sounds of it I have to go through about a thousand agencies and departments so I'm just leaving them to it. They'll call! And he's doing great thanksReally enjoying it, which is a relief because he didn't seem very keen on Monday. With your £1,000 you could always use like £300 for a shopping spree and £700 for your move?
OH called up his car insurance last night. Upped his yearly mileage, changed his career and is saving £10 a month. Like Flower and her Virgin savings, we won't see it until next month but it's done. And that's a great saving btw FlowerHow're you feeling?
Need to go buy energy drinks today, for Money in the Bank Sunday night. I thought I'd have a saving to put towards the challenge as OH has decided with starting his proper working hours next week that he isn't staying up to watch it. But then turned around and said 'but buy me some anyways, just in case.' lah!0 -
Morning all.
I just cancelled the insurance bit of my mobile phone so that will save me another £7 a month. I won't see it until next month though either.
I also saw that eBay have free insertion listings this weekend so am going to sell Max's summer clothes from last year. They won't be in season for my new nephew that is due (he would fit into shorts in October time) and it is the wrong season for this baby too. Hopefully aim to make at least £20 there to put towards OH's credit card.
