O/S Goals/Life changes for 2007

There are so many things that I want to do... start.... try again in 2007 and the biggest thing is to GET MOTIVATED

But in no real order and by no means all of them in 2007 I will:
Meal Plan and food shop better, making more things myself and being better organised.
Flylady to ensure that I get time on my days off to do what I want to do.
Control my spending on daft things so I can spend on good things instead.
Refresh my body with the gym, local pool and bike.
Clear the clutter
Start doing some of the things I keep saying I'm going to do like horseriding,
quilting, card making etc etc
Spend time with OH doing things together that we enjoy
Keep in touch with my friends, make plans to see them more often
I could go on but these will get me started

How do people manage this, I've always eaten and cooked OS, but I'm the size of a small elephant. Still, well done you :jBusyGirl wrote:10. managed to lose 10lb due to new eating habits and new busy lifestyle:rotfl:0 -
Sorry Thriftlady I've just moved my message to the OS achievements in 2006 thread. I think the reason I lost the weight just shows how much rubbish I was eating before becoming os!0

I have the usual hopes for the new year:
get fitter
save money
stop wasting time
have a tidier home....
but perhaps I should just start putting into practice all the ideas on this website - thanks to everyone who shares their tips
Happy New Year to everyone!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
Well I think I am up to 30 now, I did say this year would be the year of many changes and it shall! So determined now to make things better. One day I might be more organised...........

GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Happy New Year to all you wonderful Old Stylers. I was quite touched to see some of you mentioned in Martin's book and said to my son - I know these people!!!
My goals
NO 1. Finally stop smoking for good instead of faffing about giving up for long amounts of time and then telling myself the odd one wont hurt and then ending up hooked again.
2. Get my house in order. With a full time job (cleaning) I find it very difficult to do my own housework - its not quite Aggie and Kim but most of the time things are lost and waste so much time locating them.
3. Try to cut down on the amount of sweet things I eat.
4. Do up all these charming little bits of furniture I have - I intend at some point to have a shabby chic bedroom, so need to de-clutter loads.
5. Stop buying books from charity shops to sell on Amazon. I waste so much money when they are worth nothing, so will only buy from school summer fetes etc.
6. Be more organised about meal planning and try to have something ready for the evenings when I do not get home til 7.
7. Get back to using my yog maker, bread maker and slow cooker - been a bit hit and miss of late.
8. Not buy anything I really do not need.
9. Start to pamper myself a little more and maybe wear a little make up - got too frumpy.
10. Go a little easier on myself and not be so critical. I am not perfect, never will be, and learn to accept myself but strive to change the things I can.
That is about it I think.

Things could be worse, you could be the size of a medium elephant:o I find that the better (healthier) I eat the more I weigh!! I lost 4 stones 5 years ago by hardly eating, and certainly not eating healthily!! Since I've eaten better ( and given up smoking, over 10 months:T ) I've 2 of them back on:rotfl: :rotfl: What the hell, DH fancies me fat or thin!!!
CMxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
i think you have to be strict with the baking. i am overweight but don't have biscuits/ cakes in the house and therefore choose not to bake any either as i would just eat it. lol:love: married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-09
