I've never had a problem in Debenhams either, I've always found them lovely and helpful. I never pay over the odds because I decide in advance what I need and how much I'm willing to pay for it.

    Heya.
Just thought i would leave a post clearing this up. I actually work for Debenhams part time and their refund policy is as follows:

they can return items that have not been reduced by 50% or more, (this includes a full refund), as long as you return the item within 28 days, have your receipt and the item still has labels etc. The refund will be given by the method you paid originally ie back onto your card. it will need to be the card you paid on as well.

if you have no receipt at all, or you are out of your 28 days they offer an exchange at the current selling price. (if you're like a day out of your 28 days they usually let you off and give you a refund).

Items that have been reduced by 50% or more can be returned. But unfortunatly they cannot be refunded. They now offer an exchange for other items, or the money can be put onto a giftcard. The giftcard is valid for two years so you dont have to use it straight away, and the card can be topped up with more money. Some people top them up so they can give them as presents etc.

However, if you have a Debenhams card, sale items can be refunded back onto that.

I bought my husband a jumper@£55.00 on Saturday before christmas,
also a tee shirt for 18.50 at Debenhams, went into the store yesterday and both items had been reduced, so I rang my daughter who was going to meet me that afternoon for some lunch, to pop home and put them back into the carrier bags,(not been worn till had the tags on )I had the reciepts in my purse, I then took them back got a refund for £73.50 and then rebought the items for £53.00, no problem at all, I have never had a problem with Debenhams, bought myself two jumpers reduced from £18.00 to £9.00 with the extra cash.Cheeky I know but why not.

I don't understand- you bought a jumper and T-shirt before christmas, 6 months ago (nearly) and they have not been worn? Fair play to you, to get the money back. But to re-buy them for £53? They haven't been touched in nearly 6 months....
Couldn't you have bought something else that would have been used and worn?
Not trying to be rude, I am all for moneysaving but this seems a bit strange:o
:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin
