so a pile had 379 label underneath and display model (same) had 299 label. on 299 label there was no model number visible just the samsung 32" lcd/hdtv or whatever i am only a owman that is when i lose interest 2 samsung lcd/hdtv would be same in my opinion whether they were c4000 or c4100.
Then you would be wrong. I'd have thought it fairly obvious that a Samsung UE32C4000 32" HD Ready LED TV was an entirely different proposition from a Samsung LE32D450 32" HD Ready LCD TV or whatever choice you were faced with.morledge142 wrote: »... i either wanted a telly for 299 or not at all...
Which raises the question of why then, you didn't notice that you had been charged £379 at the till, and put a stop to it there and then.morledge142 wrote: »dtd had not been mentioned they were simply not able to refund me on a coop debit card on 2 occasions.
so on the 2nd time we went back we took telly as security as we had paid for it but then changed our mind.
what we are being expected to do is check our bank to see went it goes out of ur accoutn then go in to get a refund. dtd has not been discussed as yet on both occasions they have only tried to refund 379 and card would not accept.
So the problem is with your Co-Op bank account which won't, for some reason, accept the refund. Have you spoken to the Co-Op and asked them what the problem is with accepting the refund?
P.S. If anyone actually wants a Samsung UE32C4000 32" HD Ready LED TV, Sainsbury's still have 'em in stock at £299.99

Exactly, and as the first one had an "out of stock" label partially obscuring the full label details, the OP should, if he/she could not verify which TV the £299 price referred to, have asked a member of staff to check BEFORE making the purchase.
Buyer beware ALWAYS applies in supermarkets as anyone can move offer labels or stock around to deliberately mislead or otherwise - not just the store.0 -

You obviously have a lot more money than me then. If I had a budget of £299, and the checkout op said £379 please, I would have put it back on the shelf at that point...and enjoyed the rest of my weekend, possibly without TV.;)0 -
OP
I was in your court, but as others have said. why when at checkout you were charged £379 didnt you say anything then and stop the transaction if as you say dtd wasnt in your head0 -
morledge142 wrote: »they were both samsungs but as mentioned ours was a different model or barcode etc this was not evident until he took it down as there was an out of stock label over this bit only samsung 32" descirpt etc was visible.
think ours was say a 350 and that was 400 model fo example. assumed was same as under our telly.
They will probably get their own way though because of the completely seperate problem of the refund which could be either a problem with the bank or Tesco till programming.0 -
I believe i understand what happened OP but im struggling to understand why did you not walk away when the checkout operator said "that will be £379 please ", if i was expecting to pay £299 but was being asked to pay a higher price i would have walked away.0

thats why did not make sense as only visible evidence was the same telly in 2 places, as display model and in a pile on shelf. and had 2 differnt pricing labels so of course i would want it for 299 and not 379 or not at all. my ideal result woulld be 299 or a full refund.
there was no evidence to indicate another model until cs went to check and remove lables then noticed in small print it was for a different samsung model.
practise of moving and pursuing monetary gains with such things as bricks and gr dinner sets is something i have not participated in have never obtain anything dtd or in this manner.
wanted a telly for 299. so went to pricecheck with customer services and that is their job.
we would all prefer to get something at the cheapest price as the case with items wrongly labeled.
still awaiting for funds to clear from coop account then they said they should be able to issue refund on card so hopefully sort it tomorrow as the same supervisor will be in then and easier to explain.0 -

You mentioned DTD in your first post so not much point in trying to say now that wasn't what your purchase was all about or you wouldn't have signed to pay £379 in the first place. If you are going to aim for DTD you need to check and check again and not assume, as you did, that one telly was the same as the next one.0
