As others have stated, i worked in retail for 30 years and have never heard that you cannot receive a refund cause we have not charged you yet lmao. They should have given a refund and the baking system wouls sort it out. Would also be holding out for some kind of compo in lieu of time and costs incurred by you.
exactly the same happened to me. they refunded me no problems.0 -

think ours was say a 350 and that was 400 model fo example. assumed was same as under our telly.
sorry to hear you are haveing a problem with the card refund
but not quite sure what have caused you to got to this stage you said that the SEL said 379 even though you had looked a another TV at 299,
so they could have argued that you paid the prce on the SEL,that is also a separate issue
however if when you went to pay you know you were being charged 379 and i assume entered your pin to confirm a 379 sale why not question it prior to agreeing to the transaction, you could have possibly said sorry said
a, its 379 on shelf but big sign says £80 off , at which point they would bave discused with you and then pointed out that the price was correct and you could have withdrawn from the transation
or b says 299 on sel but the one at 379 as it said 80 off again could have resolved then
why let the 379 transaction go thtough unless you were banking on them giving you the tv for 299 with £160 off
again I am sorrry that you are having the difficulty that you are
but could have been avoided0 -

Oh, come on!If you are MSEr and you see that me T is trying to charge you more then you expected after seeing the SEL you NEVER say anything at the till... :rotfl: you might need to argue or spend some time at CS but in many cases it's well worth it... it's their policy and we just try to save money whenever we can...

take today for instance
when i tried to buy a box of socks for £1 the supervisor happened to be walking past and said "trhey are £1.25 you can have them for that price or not at all" so i said,
"wot when they are £1.00 priced on the actual box" we both repeated this for a few minutes then i said i would take item. now i see why all you guys in past posts are so angry with how incompetent they are as i had nvever noticed before and not ever checked receipts.
the sel under tv did say £299 by the way unfortunately 1/2 of label was covered up with out of stock labele where model series was. could just see lcd tv 32" samsung. and overhead where boxes were piled still had £80 off samsungs hanging from ceiling.
anyway update, went into store and got the telly as security so will argue send a snotty letter to head office regarding dtd policy as wrongly labeled items on shelf.
they finally rang me back at 5.30 saying it was my fault the bank could not processthis , not tescos computer systems. and as a goodwill gesture they would give me a £10 giftcard for hassle.
i then explained to manager that i am hassled because we had walked out of a shop with no telly and no refund.
he had not reaslied this and asked yesterdays checkout manager (i overheard him ) "did they not get a refund then".
them came back on phone and said sorry didn;t realise you were not refunded in end you need to ring your bank as supervisor said they had tried but would not work so it is our fault.
so i said no you ring my bank, your computer processing department or whoever and we will be in in an hour.
so we went back in they still coul dnot refund (£379) there was no mention made of double discount. so we walked out with telly instead for security. as was my point who would beleive we would be stupid enough to walk our without a telly or refund.
need to get onto head office on monday there customer service really is terrible if they can get away with mispricing things from a simpl,e pair of socks to a tv and get away with it - espcecialyy when they have a policy behind the counter for dtd if they make a mistake.0 -
So you have your telly now... do you still want refund? if you just want dtd I'd be on the phone to HO and take it with them... if you want the telly don't bother with the refund just get them to give you dtd if you can...0
