Good morning everyone,
:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDINBURGHLASS AND GRANNYBROON:bdaycake:
:xmastree::snow_grin MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE:snow_grin :xmastree:
Well, DS didnt go to sleep last night until gone 10.30, so i was up until 12.30 getting ready for Father Christmases visit. Then, just as i was snuggling down to sleep, DD ame in, wide awake and wishing me a merry christmas, at 12.50!!!!! She got told to go to sleep!!!!!
Anyway, DS came in at 7.10 so that was good, and we now have wrapping and presents everywhere!!!! All done by 7.50!!!! But, two very happy children, and they havnt had the things from under the tree yet (after lunch, something to look forward too) and about 10, they will be having their treasure hunt, which is their main pressie, and so far they are so chuffed with what they have got, they havnt noticed they didnt get them (nintendo DSs, plus a case and some games) i cant wait, but i will do, will be more exciting for them if we wait.
Ive had my cup of tea, so i have now opened my bottle of bucks fizz and its going down very well considering its 8 in the morning!
Right, must go, packaging to open and rubbish to get rid of - will be putting the goose going about 9, all the veg is ready so not much to do yet.
Hope everyone has had a morning half as good as ours has been, because we are having a lovely time!!!
Have a lovely day, hope any of the poorly people are feeling better xx
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Ooops, just posted this on the Christmas Day thread - I thought that was the Daily Thread - silly me!
Hey everyone,
Merry Christmas! I hope you all have wonderful days.
It's just OH and I this year - having family here just didn't work out the way we'd hoped so I am a bit scared that it will feel a bit sad and empty. However, we started to feel Christmassy last night when we went to carols round the square with other villagers then for a drink with some neighbours and saw how excited their children were.
We're planning a nice day - with a lovely free range roast chicken and all the trimmings, prawn cocktail to start and a yule log and custard to finish for our meal. We have a few pressies to open and we'll play some games together then settle down in front of the box tonight. We might head out for a walk too if we don't eat too many choccies!
We also had better make the most of it, as this will be our only and last Christmas without a little one!
scuzz - I hope you're work time flies by - I am so sorry you have to work today of all days. Hopefully there's a festive atmosphere.
Love to you all

Just been checking the pudding recipe as I don't want to mess anything up! So thought would say hello to those who helped me so much.
