Everyone's still asleep. I'm googling how long to cook the turkeythen I'm going to tackle the sprout mountain
For info, for a 12lb turkey we've got, Delia Smith says cover w/foil, then 40 mins on high, 3 hrs on medium, foil off, 30min on high.
Mmmm...

Morning all
Happy Christmas. How I wish I still had little ones at this time of year, I miss all the excitement of them opening their presents. It is lovely though, sitting here quietly listening to the birds singing.
I have one of my daughters here today ( the other one has gone to Tunisia for Christmas - lucky thing) and my mum and OH's mum. We have decided against the traditional turkey and are having a lovely beef wellington instead, can't wait!
Hope you all have a lovely, lovely day.

Merry Christmas and good morning to everyone :santa2: No little one's here anymore but I was still up at 5.30 am this morning
I just need to check how long to cook the duck for. Weighed it last night after it defrosted and it is 2.8kg. May have to pop down stairs and re-weigh it in pounds.
Have a lovely day everyone - I'm almost drooling at the thought of some of the OS Christmas dinners people have been describing on the OS board over the last few daysEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -

Hope the headache eases soon PP
The children are still asleep  so I am having 15 minutes to myself before waking them up as we have loads to do this morning. We are off to my parents for a few days so just to say that I hope you and your loved ones all have a lovely few days.
Going to wake up the troops now and the madness is going to begin.

:xmastree: Merry Christmas everone.
I am the only one up as usual. The 4 kids are a in their teens now, so they would rather lay in bed as long as possible. The missus too. I bet I can take the dog for a walk, tidy up, light a fire and watch TV and they still won't be out of bed. But they are still as excited as ever.
I think I did OK this year. My parents are doing the Christmas dinner, so it should be a fab day.
Have a nice Christmas everyone....NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
