Got JL to pricematch with ASK £899 with Cabinet stand ( they would not match with pedestal for £799 as ASK dont have that one on display) and 5 year warranty, about 3 weeks for delivery tho but its on order at least

Pedestal version is no longer available anyway as they cant get any more pedestals.

I did!! (Buy a Panasonic that is). But I hadn't seen the purple snake stuff then. Even so - at the price these sets are I still would be tempted to buy one - I have my fingers crossed that they will fix the snakes.

I'm not too clued up on this but where did you phone for them to do this? and was it just a straight out 'will you match...'?

I would also be very interested to know which Branch you used and how you approached it. I have the same model on order but was led to believe that the price match could only be done when they had the stock and comparing competitors then. It appears you have been more sucessful!

Well actually I did as well in the hope of a snake free set but I'm starting to doubt any of them are entirely free of problems. Working on a refund at the moment.

Did you do this in-store or by phone ?

I have one in my checkout box on the Dixons website, got the price down to £949 delivered, but at £899 i will see if JL replenish stock and see if i can pricematch too.

Got the 42px60 ped but disapointed with the fan noise (pictures good though)

The 5yr warranty esp with JL is worth the £919 they are asking for it. And if you do get purple snakes then JL are one of the best around for exchanges etc. DSG are awful.

My advice get on the phone asap and order one from JL as soon as they take payment then say 'Can i do a price match on this please, as i have 28 days to do so.'

When the price match is accepted you will be given a code.

And i have one with JL on order (hopefully shipped within 2 wks) for £799 as i pricematched with ASK (not askdirect). The only problem at the moment is that they not sure if they can get any PED stands in.

Would you mind me asking which JL store pricematched Ask at £799 - or even better the PM code?

We have already bought our 42PX60 and due to collect it tomorrow. I have requested a pricematch from JL Reading, but they are quoting up to 2 weeks for it to be checked out. JL Bluewater Shopping Centre have also apparently pricematched Ask at this price.

Ask do have stock and they do have the model displayed in their store in Tottenham Court Road displaying a £799 price tag.

Anyone else had any luck with JL pricematching Ask?
