Just re-read your comment about swapping rigs. Yes it is short notice asking to move Wednesday when you are due out Thursday but they'll understand as it's the Xmas break and what's the worst that could happen? They'd fire you?
(And that's a problem because ...?).
It's obviously unbearable. Ask to move as soon as they open on Wednesday, you have absolutely nothing to lose.If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0 -
go ahead and get the doc to sign you off, get your statutory sick pay that we all contribute to in our taxes, its quite likely you will get caught and done for fraud, which is what tends to happen to people when they are do something like this.
Or do the honest and upright thing, go to your company - tell them you cannot face working for them any more and why - ask for mercy and offer to pay 10% of your training back.
If they are good employers they will want to know why you are so traumatised by the work.
Please don't bit my head off, this is my answer to your question , although it might no tbe what you personally want me to sayJohn0 -
Smashing wrote:So you're lying so your Dr and employer so you can get paid without actually having to work, and now you want advice on how to defraud them further by not paying back the costs of your training?
Or am I missing something here?
No, I dont think you are missing anything that sounds like a good summary of the OPs plan!0 -
you lot have lost it. you all have totaly went off the subject.0

You asked what opinions are on the matter of you committing a 'harmless' crime and indirectly defrauding the NHS, the taxpayer (me and everyone on the board paying taxes) and your current employers.fairmorn308 wrote:you lot have lost it. you all have totaly went off the subject.
YOu would also be implicating your GP in your dishonesty and while there was support for the situation at work, you were given contructive suggestions on dealing with this, many posters objected to all of this, especially as I'm sure the site has (or should have) a strong line against deliberate fraud.
I think there was also concern at the 'it's not too difficult to sign off sick, when there's nothing wrong with you' comment as there is a worrying problem of those falsely claiming to be ill, reflecting on those who actually are ill needing help and support."This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0 -
Definitely, do the honest thing and say you can't cope etc. See what they say.
If you go 'sick' , you might find that many future job applications want to know your 'sick' history for the last year or two, which will do you no good.
If the worst comes to the worst just bide you time till February, hand in your notice and leave. Seeing that as your target should help your frame of mind. Keeps the CV stuff straight forward too.
Finding your next job will be important.
Good luck.0 -

Have you checked the email address? Have you had an automated reply to say it has been received?
You seem to be talking to them on the phone - why not read them your email, then they can't say they haven't received the content of it......Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
