  • Hello everyone,
I hope all goes well for you tomorrow Molly, I'll be thinking of you and the children, stay strong, I'm sure it will all be a bit of a blurr, but my thoughts will be with you. Are you back at work tomorrow AnW'sMum? If so, I hope it all goes ok for you, I'll be thinking of you too, as I do for all you people.
I'm really upset today as my PC has totally had it! i can't get it fixed and I just want to curl up in a corner and cry, cos all John and my stuff is on there and it's been my lifeline to the outside world for the past 8 weeks and I just don't know what to do..............bloody stupid I know, crying over a PC, but what do I do? I need to now buy a new one and I can't really afford to spend the money, but I think I will go crazy without this outlet. I'm on the kids (well, John's old) laptop at the moment, but it has none of my stuff on it, and I do all my banking and just about everything on line. I do have all pics and stuff saved onto discs, but i just can't stop crying that my PC had died. I just want John back to make everything alright again and it's so sad..grrrrrrrr, I'm sorry I'm crying onver this silly problem when there is so many brave and wonderful people on here being strong and surviving and I'm so fed up..............
Life is so unfair..........but be strong everyone and love to all.

have you had a computer expert look at it stormy? often files can be saved even if you think it has died.

I hope you can get something sorted out. how's the new car - have you got it yet?

    Morning everyone

Stormy, I know where you are coming from, our pc died when William was only about 6 months old, the only pics we had of him were all digital and on the pc :( but we did manage to recover them and the other data we needed. Sending you a BIG HUG. If yours can't be repaired then have a look at a laptop as they have really come down in price or you might be able to get just a tower and keep your exisiting screen and keyboard. I am going to sit at mum and dad's waiting for their new pc to arrive this morning!

Molly thinking of you today, don't worry about trying to remember everything that happens, the blank bits will return over time. For me it was the sheer number of people that were there that was overwhelming.

Hope everyone has a good day, catch up with you all tonight.

Hi Stormbay, although I have been looking on this site for a long time I havent done much posting. I know what it feels like when your PC dies, I felt like I had lost a piece of me. I took mine to the local (small) PC shop to get a diagnostic on it. This he done for free just to see what the prob was, then if its too much to repair you will at least know. Mine was just the mother board, it wasnt as horrendously expensive as I thought it would be and I got a mate to install it for free. Hope this helps you.
Who would like my last penny?

hello, god i feel so weird today. one minute i am crying my eyes out and the next its like `what funeral`. it all feels so surreal.
the service isn`t until this afternoon and i keep shaking. i have spoken to the children this morning and they seem ok at the mo`. god knows what will hit us later.
what is strange is that i feel he is around me at times. its like someone is stood by me but when i turn around there is no one there but it feels comfortable.
i am missing him so so much. i keep listening to a song called goodbye by lionel ritchie. its lovely.
i am very tearful writing this. but i feel able to express things here that i can`t at home. its like you all understand.
i keep seeing his cheeky smile...
thankyou all so much for your lovely words. it really does help me.
    molly

molly you will find the strength to get through today and like you say it's an almost surreal feeling.

Alice our little girl wanted to go to the funeral and I think her presence gave me the strength to get through it. Everyone else was crying but Alice and I just seemed to almost be watching from the outside. She was not scared at all because I had explained all that would happen and I suppose going through what would happen with her made it just that bit easier for me.

Ice, Stormy and everyone else, thanks for your thoughts as I went back to work :) It was a tough day and another 'first' out of the way. I only work Thurs/Fri, I am lucky in that respect and am gradually building my hours up. The new boss does not start for another 3 or 4 weeks so hopefully I shall feel more settled by the time he does start.

Anyway, thought I would check back here before I have to go and fetch William from preschool, then offto a meeting about the sale of church pews. There just aren't enough hours in the day! Not done any flylady stuff properly for a while :o really need to climb back on that wagon!

    Take care all (((HUGS)))
