hello, thak you all for the lovely messages. his funeral is next monday and the children have asked me to go with them in the car. i feel so honoured, so i will take my eldest daughter with me.
his ex-wife didn`t have much contact with them in last few years. i was very teary when they asked me.
he was so gorgeous and i miss him so much.
things were getting quite serious before all of this happened and even marriage had been batted around in a jokey way. but i often think now he may have been serious after things the children have mentioned.
it would`ve been perfect as my children and his were all around the same age and we all got on really well.
but at least i have some lovely memories of him. it was the little silly funny things that seem to be the most prominent. his big hugs, the way he would wink at me. my tummy would get terrible butterflies.
god i miss him so much.
thanks for all the support. i wish you all lived near to me.
i feel able to talk about things in a different way on here.

Hi everyone,

Well I survived work! It felt the longest 3 hours though but I am glad I did it. Alice and William had good days as well so it's a result all round Thanks for all your messages, it really did help.

molly, I shall be thinking of you on Monday, it's great that his children asked you to tracel with them, I am sure you will all support each other in the coming week and months, you have a special bond with each other and the shared memories.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, will be opening a bottle of wine to celebrate my return to work if anyone wants to join me (not that I did a lot today!)

Hey AnW'sMum,
I waswondering how you got on, I'm so glad it was ok considering, I think I will join you for that bottle of wine, I could do with some right now, I'm feeling a little emotional this afternoon, I came home form work early cos I thought I was going to cry. There was no particular reason for it, I just felt sad, (probably hormonal!!!!! that's what John would say anyhow!).

Thanks for all the messages, I think I've sorted out this blasted PC for the time being, It's 7 years old and is as slow as a snail, despite broadband and all that, I think I may need a new one, so if anyone has any recommendations, please throw them my way.

Right, I'm going to sort tea out now and then go to the supermarket for a bottle of wine, I'm having my hair done tomorrow, so that will be nice to get all the grey covered!!!!!!!!!

Molly, it's lovely that the children want you to be with them, you must feel so touched, I wish you all the best for Monday. I can hardly remember the funeral, I decided to store the memory for a later time, but everyone who went said it was lovely (under the cirumstances you understand).

Molly I am so sorry for your loss, and please we are all here for each other and we are all at different stages, but the hurt never changes we just learn to live with it in our own way. There is no right or wrong way you just go with what feels right for you.
I said to my mum the other day it`s like a broken leg you never fully walk proberly again you always walk with a limp if you see what I mean.

AnW`sMum, I am so glad you got through your first day and well done, hope the children are well.

Stormy, Days like you had come along and you just have to go with the flow,mine are if I hear a song ( tom jone`s delila) dads fav. Hope all the family are well.

i seems to express just how i am feeling..

Hi everyone,

Been a busy day here, swimming lesson for Alice in the morning, had their cousin back to play after and then down to mum and dad's this afternoon.

I asked Dad to help me write a letter to the Coroner, by the time we had worded it properly it was time for dinner so we all had Chinese together

Just put Alice and William to bed and thinking I might join them! I can't believe where the time is going, it's almost March already :eek:
