Can I have a mini rant?

I am going back to work this week for the first time since Ian died (gradually building the hours up). Whilst I have been off my boss (who has been fantastic) has been transferred to another branch and has now been appointed there permanently. The guy coming in to take his place has been appointed today and not to put to fine a point on it I think he is a t**t! Think he will start next Monday.

Sorry about that, normal service now resumed :) (Would have told Ian about this so he is probably smiling at my ranting on here!)

Hope you are all well, off to bath the kids before bed. They had a good first day back at school/nursery.

    Catch you later :D

AnW'sMum course you can have a rant, your among your friends, I hope you are able to put him in his place:D sounds like someone needs to do it!!!
I am not going back to work till Wednesday:T I feel guilty staying off as I work in a Primary School and they only went back today-I had to fall ill at the end of the hols-I am lucky that I have a great boss!!!
    (((((((((((((((Hugs to you all)))))))))))))))))))

PS Stormy-hope that your weekend went as ok as it could-Have you had your new car yet??
  • Hi everyone,
AnW`sMum, you rant as much as you want as jbatista said you are amongst friends. Please try not to worry about him remember he is the new one, and will need you all more than you will need him, I`m sure Ian like us would be saying "go on girl you show him" with all you have and are going through he is "small fry" all the best of luck.

I met an old friend of my dads yesterday and after a long chat with her (she`s the wife of dads best friend) she asked how ds2 was told her bits and she has offered to help us , a family member does counselling (sp) so just an imformal chat and see how it goes, I ended up in the middle of the supermarket crying felt a right fool. DH and I just want whats best for him. He`s not to well at the moment and is being really good and it`s nice that he is not at school, knowing that he`s not getting told off and in more trouble.

jbastista hope this afternoon went well with your dh and your feeling better a few days off will do you good.

love and hugs to you all

Thanks mandymoo and jbatista :) you are both sooooo right, I shan't take any s**t from him! With everything that has happened this last year in particular I generally don't let anything get to me anymore unless it's to do with Ian, Alice or William, a case of 'what's the worst you can do to me?' reply 'nothing it's already happened'. Tends to stop them lol

I am really pleased that your Dad's friend can offer some help with DS2, how great to know that there are people that can give practical as well as emotional help :)

jbatista - get yourself totally right before going back to work, you will need your strength to deal with primary school kids so need to be 100% ;)

    Hugs to everyone.

  • Mandymoo and AnW'sMum - Hubby went on ok-we have been waiting for this bloody renal appointment since he left hospital and they have messed up again!! God only knows when it will arrive
Anyway we went to see Liver Consultant today and he seems to think that it was a virus and a mixture of bad medication which led to the kidney failure in the first place. He suffers with High BP since being diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago and these health problems of DH have just spiralled. DH went to see the GP 4 days before been rushed into hosp telling him that he was unwell and always very dry and hoarse-ever likely he was blinkin dehydrated too!! There is kidney damage, but not as bad as was thought so. . . just waiting for this renal appoint to come through.
Anyway things can only get better from here onwards,

Your right Mandymoo I need to be 100% before going back to work to my little darlings-I work with 5 and 6 year olds.

Well I haven't done any yet! The rector has been round and we have been talking about a memorial service for Ian. He thinks it's a great idea and we hope to get all the kids involved :) So whilst not a productive morning in the conventional sense I am pleased.
