Just a thought Stormy,

When my dad died in Oct 2004, he died on the side of the road. I didn't want to keep returning to the site to mourn, as we had the grave to visit. But I also didn't want to forget where he died.

My dad was welsh of which the flower is a daffodil, but his favourite flowers were snow drops. I returned to the verge where he died 7 days after he died at the same time. I had already laid flowers there at the time, but planted daffodil bulbs and snowdrop bulbs in the verge. In the summer when it is mowed they are gone, but they came up last year and the snow drops are out again already.

Sorry a long winded meassage as usual, but there is life there now after death and whenever i pass and see his flowers I think of him.

Lucifer, that is so lovely, we were also at the road side (although he didn't die there), right next to a garden center and John was also Welsh, so I may visit the garden centre and do the daffodils, although it's late in the year now, they may have some all ready in pots, I'll plant those and see what happens.

What a lovely idea... I think the bulbs come into shops around August but this way you can get them already in flower.
