Just a very quick hello. Stormy think London is a good idea but, also echo what everyon else has said about being kind to yourslf and doing what feels right to you. You have done so well and John would be so proud of you and your amazing children. I finally managed to get through to my aunt and she is on auto pilot.Told her about the site and this thread in particular. Hope she gets round to looking as I think the comfort she would recieve will help hr no end. We went over to see her and it breaks your heart. She has packd all the Christmas stuff away(did on Christmas day when she got home) but still has the cards up as she can't bear to throw them away and obviously they all have my Uncles name on them. Thats how I told her about this site as she asked me if she was wrong to leave the cards up till she felt strong enough to face taking them down. Her son and daughter are fantastic and both live quite nearby which hlps. I have also mentioned this site to my cousin as funnily nough it is him that I am most worried about. He looks dreadful seems to have aged SO much and doesn't seem to be coping at all. He has such a lot on his plate the loss of his dad, they were VERY close, he is worried about his mum and his wife is in remission from breast cancer(she is now only 36) and although very well he is still so worried. He is such a lovely man very quiet, devoted to his family and oh so lost at the moment. Hopefully they will both come on here and gain some comfort. Stormy, Seroxat and evryone else(did write names down but cant find my paper) love and best wishes to you all. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Finally on a slightly lighter note. If some of this reads stangly then its probably due to a lack of e's!!! Am having loads of "fun!!" with keyboard and in particular with the e key think iI have checked but remember what you are daling with. Hugs and love to all.

    Hi Annie,
I was wondering how you were doing... thanks for the update. Why not make yourself a Word document of some of the things you find helpful from the thread, and give copies to your aunt and cousin, then you're not dependent on them finding the energy to look it up. Have a copy for yourself too if you like :grouphug:
How maddening for you to have the 'e' go wrong... it wouldn't have been so bad if it was a 'z'!

What a great idea. Will do that later. Thank you. As for the VERY useful e(am smashing my finger on the e EVERY time!) well its s*d's law it WOULD have to be a useful letter! Still makes my posts a bit interesting for once!!!!!

  • Hi Annie - are you sure you haven't got something stuck under the 'e' like a crumb or whatever?

I had the same prob last week with the 'a' (how maddening too! :D), but gave the keyboard a shake upside down and all sorts of rubbish came out! I'm a devil for eating at the p.c! :D

  • Hi Stormy,

Have been keeping track of you on this thread to see how you are, but when i tried to post last week I must have taken so long to find the right words, i got signed out:mad:  Anyway, most people who responded to your post re speaking to the surgeon said what i was trying to say and that was go for it to put your mind at rest. I wondered if there was any update to that and if so it was positive.

It sounds like you've been really busy what with work and everything, im hoping your trip to London today has been ok, and the family has coped without you-im sure theyve been fine!

Anyway, just wanted to say how amazingly well you seem to be coping, even though it may not feel like it sometimes, and to send you warmest wishes and hugs and to say that im thinking of you.

    Take care, x

    Hi all

Thought you might like a laugh....it was DH birthday yesterday (he would have been 42) and it was a tough day for us being the first one since he died. As I was getting DS, who will be 4 next week, ready for bed he said 'I love my Daddy' to which I replied 'We all love Daddy'. In the next breath he said 'and I love my Thomas pants'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: Just had to smile and I know DH would be having a chuckle.

    Hope every one is ok.

    xx
