Hi Stormbay
Keeping his glasses in the car sounds just the right thing to do. Nothing odd about it at all.
So sorry to hear about your stepson and his wife - so very sad. Thinking of you all.0 -
(((stormy))) This is the first time i've read this thread and i'm so sorry for your loss. I can't add anything more to the wonderful posts that have already been written. All my thoughts go out to you and your family.0

Hi stormy
Glad your daughter was OK. The distraction theory will probably work.
Well done on moving the bags etc. I think that must be the hardest part when you can still feel & smell the person you've lost. The glasses in the glove compartment is a wonderful idea!
My friend lost her husband's wedding ring, which she wears on her right hand, for a day before Christmas & she was so upset. Luckily it turned up safe & sound.
So proud of you!! :A

Once again, pressing the thanks button just doesn't seem enough. I feel quite drained today, I think it was all the worry about scholl and everything.
My Boss is visiting me tomorrow, I've had to go and buy matching mugs!!! Living with teenagers and an 11 years old means verything is mismatched. I hope it's a social call and not too work orientated, I love my job and I hope he knows I will be able to cope when I go back.
I'm going to go to bed soon and try to think of the memories of our last holiday together which was only 3 weeks before John died, I try so hard to get the last moments out of my head, it's driving me mad. Grrrrrr
Sleep tight and hugs to all those who need them and feel like I do tonight.

If your boss is a man he probably won't notice the mismatched mugs!!
One day all the good memories will come rushing back & push out the nasty ones!!
Have a hug from us all to take to bed :grouphug::j New Year, New You = 1.5lb/12lb:j0 -
Hi Stormy..glad to see your DD managed to go to school today and was fine...and I'm sorry about your daughter in law and your son...the idea of the glasses is lovely and not mad many people carry reminders with them as it makes them feel closer..
It's nice that your boss is coming around to see you...shows that they care and will probably be to offer you to ease in gently and see if they can assist you...I don't think for 1 minute that they'd have even noticed mis-matched mugs..just do everything at your own pace..hope you are sleeping well and as others have said your memories will soon be all nice ones of the happy times and funny times you've all spent together...hugs for you and your family..take care xxx0 -
we dont have matching mugs either! I'm always saying I'm going to buy some and hide them for when people come round.
I think its nice of your boss to come and visit....and good to see your friends before you go back to work. I found the first day back at work a bit of a trauma. everyone saying how sorry they were etc (and I have to say some people who didnt say anything - dont know what was worse to be honest)
I learned a very valuable lesson then. I always say something to people now. My mum always says the same. she never used to send sympathy cards or if she did she just signed them. it wasnt until we lost my dad that those few personal words on a card meant so much.x x x0 -
hugs stormy, i think too leaving johns glasses in the car is good, i often feel too my dh is still with me when i drive, he saw me take my first lesson before he passed away and was so proud, take care x0
