Morning everyone

Gray and overcast here which is about right for a bank holiday weekend!

Hope you are all well, hugs for those that need them especially jbatista at the mo.

We were supposed to have two friends staying this w/e but one can't make it as her mum is quite poorly and having to go into hospital but William's godfather is coming so we will still have a good time, just not quite as good. Our other friend lives and works abroad now and we last saw her in April last year although we do keep in regular contact it is not quite the same is it.

Right better pack the ebay parcels, get Alice and William ready for swimming lessons and skidaddle.

Morning everyone, I hope you are all ok. jbatista, I hope you are bearing up and feeling as well as you can feel.
AnW's Mum, the sun is gloriously shinning here for the local 'Victorian Extravaganza' taking place this weekend in Llandudno. Although the weather has promised rain after today. I have to go to Rhyl this morning which will take me ages as its a seaside resort and the traffic will be so bad. Serves me right for living by the sea.......lol
No football tomorrow as it's the bank holiday, so we will go to the extravaganza, I'll try to take some photo's so I can show you all. I've not taken one photo on my camera for ages and I don't want to look on there as Rosie took some of all the flowers on John's grave. But I'm sure it will be fine.
Well, I suppose I'd better get dressed now and get organised, mmmmm, or shall I have another cuppa first, yes, that's what I'll do.

Hi all,well we seem to be just existing, I keep thinking that this time last week we were ...... well DH and I were both woth Dad, holdng him, stroking his forehead and most importantly loving him. Now I just cant believe it.

I just wanted to add my thoughts and support to you all, I lost my mum suddenly, my best friend and my grandmother all in the space of a year, so I do understand what you're all going through. Hugs x

jbatista I am so so sorry to hear of the sad loss of your dad, we are all here for you at anytime, you are amongst friends who may not have the answers but we have a listening ear and a shoulder to cry.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.



I have not been on here as the computer broke, it was on the cards,so it was no surprise, so we now have a nice new shiney one.

I hope you are all well and I know that we are all here for each other.

Hi all, I am coping, Its the silly things like waiting for the phone to ring thinking its dad, or waiting for the tap on the door he made with his walking stick. Gosh I miss him sooo muc, it feels unreal to me. I felt guilty today as I havnt cried-are these normal thoughts???
Its the funeral on Friday morning, I am dreading it.

Hi Jbatista,
I'm so sorry you re feeling like you are, but don't feel guilty, how you are reacting is totally normal for you. We all react in different ways. I've just been watching 'One foot in the grave' and I was lughing away to myself and then felt instantly guilty that I'm able to laugh and John isn't and it's so unfair. But, I realised that if he were here tonight, John would be laughing with me, so I forgave myself.
I wish you all the love and hugs in the world for friday and I'm sure your Dad is watching, being very very proud in how you are getting through each day.
Lots of hugs and love to all who are coping and have managed to survive another day.

I am sorry to hear your dh is not well, so hugs to you both.
