Well went up and it was beautiful. Sun shone and very peaceful. When I got home I went on the OS board and spent ages looking at a link to old dogs(boo hoo) DH came back from school armed with a bag (fun sized ones) of malteasers; a bar of chocolate, a book and some flowers as he was worried about me and felt guilty that he had to go into school!!!!!!!! I am so lucky, despite health problems, money worries and other "stuff" Iwouldn't change him for anything(most times LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-JOKE) I am delighted William had a good day and Alice is enjoying her role as big sister. You all take care and again, thank you.A XXX

    :hello: Hello Stormy!

Hope you and Rosie got on ok at the dentist.

Sorry it has been a while since I looked in, spring is always a bad time for me as Mum died 12 yrs ago on Mothers day. I am ok just needed some time to remember her and have found some lovely old photos of her when she was a glamorous young wife. I am going to have a go at making a nice scrapbooking page with one of them.

AnW's Mum - (((Hugs))) glad William got on ok on his first day at school!

    Hi everyone,

What a lovely day it has ben again. I took the opportunity to get a plaque engraved for Ian's bench so that I could put it there next to him. Really pleased with how it all looks and hope it will be a nice suprise for his mum and dad when they go either tomorrow or Friday.

Hope everyone is well, hugs to you all and extra special ones for those that need them.

Off for a soak before watching Grand Designs, which reminds me, Stormy how's the viewings going? Hope you have a positive outcome soon :)

    Take care everyone

Hello Everyone, AnW'Mum, I'm so glad William was ok in school, I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for you, you are so strong.
Catz, I'm so sorry about your Mum, having old photo's is sad but lovely as you can have lots of remembering and nice memories.
Annie, I love going to 'see' my Mum when the sun is shining, it sort of lifts me and my Mum loved the sun and I know she would be smiling whilst the sun was shining, I'm glad you went to see yours on such a lovely day.
Hi Twink, nice to see you, hope you are well.
    Hope everyone else is well.

I've had a week off as you know and on Sunday I decided to tackle the loft, which was John's office and where he spent most of his spare time, sorting stamps, watching the cricket/golf/football/rugby and any other sport available, where he searched the net, spoke to his son in the US and did Rosie's homw work with her. I have not been up there hardly since he died and his coat was still on the back of the chair and his cup, wallet, glasses case and everything else was exactly where he left it. On the outer bit was his fishing gear, golf clubs, camping gear (John Rosie and Ben went regularly in the school holidays). I had decided to get rid of some things, box up other stuff and get the loft ready for one of my sons to use as a bedroom, as they have been cramped together in a box room for many years, and now Ben worfks shifts so it has been very difficult.
Anyway the long and short of it is that it was sooo difficult, I did box up most of the smaller stuff and just COULD NOT 'get rid of anything at all!!! So it's ben moved to the shed ready to go into storage. I was off last week and was going to sort out all John's clothes that are still in the drawers and wardrobes in the bedroom. I opened the first drawer, saw John's clothes that he wore to go into hospital, cried, shut the drawer and did no more!
What do all you people do with your loved ones things? My Dad died last June and I emptied his whole house when we sold it, hired a trailer lock up and the whole house is now in stroage there that's cosing me £38 per month. I just can't get rid of Dad's stuff, so I have no chance with John's.

I'm back at work now, which is really busy and I still haven't caught up with my work e-mails from the week off.
    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I need a drink,

Love and hugs to all :)

Well done Stormy on getting through this first week off since John died, it can't have been easy. Your loft sounds like a lovely haven what with all John's stuff there, good memories for you.

I can understand completely about you not wanting to get rid of anything yet, you have to do it at your own pace and time. There is no right time, I still have everything of Ian's and I can't believe that it is fast approaching June, where has this last year gone? As I have gone through paperwork sorting out/binning/shredding old stuff I have found little bits of paper that Ian made notes or doddled on and find it so hard to get rid of even those!!! What hope is there for me.

Thought you all might like to see William ready for his first day at school so keep your fingers crossed that I get this right! lol

Aw, that is so so lovely, doesn't he look like a big boy now. It seems years ago that mine had their first days at school, my goodness, it goes so fast, I can't beleive that my oldest, Jody is 22 this year, I can remember her first day at school like it was yesterday.
This picture has cheered me up AnW'sMum, thank you very much. I love the missing tooth :)
