    Hi everyone.

jbatista it`s lovely to hear from you and hope you are all on the mend.

AnW`sMum, I hope william is enjoying his second week at school and Alice is ok, is it bell ringing tonight ?

stormybay, I hope you are feeling better this week and the family are ok.
even after 4 years my mum has not moved my dads things, his slippers are still under the dressing table where he left them. One day we will have the courage to do it.

anniestar and twink, I hope you are both ok.

And everyone else hope you are all well.

Well I got the job that I went for and start on the 14th, I have 2 weeks intence training and then start. I went yesterday to meet some of the service users and all went well.
DD is doing her best with eating and I am very proud of her, but it has not been easy a few heated arguments (me and dd) but as AnW`sMum said take baby steps and that is so true I tried to run. I should have listened to you. She is now wanting to go and get her prom dress, so that is a good sign. I have really missed my dad these last few weeks, the pain just never goes away. So I really admire you stormy and AnW`sMum for the courage you show for your children and you are both very special ladies.

Must go dinner must be ready the smoke alarms going !!!

Love and hugs to you all

Hey MandyMoo..............That is fantastic about the job, well done that girl :)
Oh, and by the way, YOU ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB WITH YOUR DD, so don't think any different, we all struggle along, not knowing the answers, sometimes it's right and others it's wrong. We are all surving on e way or another and that's great.........
Wow, I'm excited for you about the job, is it something you've done before? I bet your DD will be proud and so will your Dad, he'll be looking down on you with a big smile for his special daughter.

    Hugs

    Hi Everyone

Blimey what a week, I don't seem to have got anything done other than drinking coffee with friends either at their home or ours and then work the rest of the time! Got nothing done round the house but hopefully next week I'll get more organised.

Hope everyone is well, hugs to you all.

Well done on the job mandymoo :) and can I ditto what Stormy said.

William seems to have settled ok at school, it helps that they have trains there!!!! Teachers are great and so enthusiastic. I booked tickets for Alice andI to go see Status Quo in December, she will be so excited, we go the day after my birthday. Just wish Ian was here so we could all go.

jbatista hope you are all recovered now, nice to see you here again :)

Well I had better get dressed, swimiming lesson for Alice this morning and visiting Ian's mum and dad for lunch.

Hope you all have a good weekend, :grouphug: to you all

BIG HUGS to you jbatista hang in there we are here for you.

So sorry to hear of your loss, just take things one step at a time.

Look after yourself and your family, support each other and remember everyone reacts differently. There is no right or wrong way of dealing with this, just your way. At time like this all sorts of people will offer help, take the m up on it even if it is just making you a cup of tea or doing the ironing. Those that genuinely offer will do whatever they can.

If there is anything we can do to help then let us know.

    Oh Jbatista,
I'm so, so sorry to hear about your beloved Dad, you must be in such turmoil. Please, please just try not to do a million things at once and let yourself feel grief.
I don't really have advice to give you, everyone is so different, all I can say is that however you feel or react is right for you. I know I just felt numb and in denial I suppose, and that denial made me go through all the motions of organising funerals and being practical.
Please don't be afraid to ask, and take up any help that is offered. Cry, scream, shout, whatever you want. Hug your OH and your children, it doesn't matter that you cry with them, or even if you don't cry at all. I didn't, and still don't.
Pleae come on here at any time, all you people have been my saving grace and continue to be, we care and we'd love to help in any way possible.
As Anw's Mum say's follow the link for practical advice and guidance, and come back here to rant as much as you like.
I feel so much for you, I wish I could hug you and tell you that all will be ok. Much love and hugs, feel free to PM me at any time. AnW'sMum has been a fantastic help to me as have all you guys, including you Jabatsia.
    Thinking of you loads,
    Stormy

(((Hugs))) Jbatista so sorry to hear about your Dad. Stormy is right your must give yourself plenty of time to grieve. I didn't and tried to put it all up on a shelf to be dealt with later. Believe me it came tumbling down again. You will always miss your Dad (I miss mine) but I still feel that they are around you and aways in your memory and heart.

This thread is so uplifting with all the love and support

    Hi Jbatista,
Just wanted to say that I'm thinking about you tonight, I hope you manage some sleep and if not, at least some sort of rest.
Your Dad will be hoping that you are looking after yourself. Take comfort and support from all those that offer, not least all of us here.
    Lots of big hugs,
    Stormy

jbatista, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I can't offer you practical sympathy - I am an only child, too, and the loss of my Dad is something I dread, so I can't pretend to know how you feel, or even begin to understand your loss...

But I do send you a big hug, and want you to know that I am thinking of you this week...:grouphug:

    Stay strong,
