some of you may remember that thread on narcisism (I Know, I Know - I still cant spell it!), which got moved to the Arms. I complained and I am sure many others did too.
Well, we seem to have a result! The latest sticky has informed us that its ok to post on Marraiges and Old style even if its NOT strictly moneysaving!
have a look above on page one - about evolving threads!
So thank you Martin! You DO listen to us!
anyway - does anyone want to discuss this?
Edited this to say that the Narcisims thread was really interesting - a lot of input and I THINK it was really helpful to people struggling with an 'awkward' person in their life but couldnt for the life of them understand why they were always in the 'wrong'!
a brief reminder of how a narcisist presents:
a narcisist thinks of him/herself as the centre of the universe
They are never wrong
their feelings are strong - yours, either are fake or you dont understand how much it affects them
Events are ALWAYS about them - even when they arent!
They are expert at the 'Poor Me' act
If you have flu - they have Pneumonia
They like to play family members off each other
masters of manipulation, they usually have friends and neighbours convinced they are hard done by, when in reality they rule with a rod of iron.
I could go on - but you get the idea!

Sounds like the kind of person I steer well clear ofAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I remember that thread and it was a really interesting topic that I feel was being discussed and debated well. I am sure alot of people benefited from the views that were expressed.
I too was amazed when it was moved. Considering some of the other threads that were about on this board at the time and which stayed, I think it was poor judgement of those who moved it.
Thank you for pursuing this and getting it reinstated here OP0 -
I am 99% certain my sister is one but then I start to question myself and think in believing she is one is that me showing characteristics of it by assuming she is at fault and pitying myself rather than her genuinely showing characteristics of it and my genuinely feeling annoyed/frustrated with her for it.... such a double edged sword.:j BSC #101 :j0

Now I feel better- I can go to sleep believing my sister is at fault, just like I always thought she was :rotfl::T:rotfl::j BSC #101 :j0 -

and you can spell it! lol, its just one of those words I cant spell for the life of me! but its a word I know very well - as I had one for a Mother-In-Law and if I HADNT been doing a psychology degree would have ended up totally under her control! a very dangerous woman who the neighbours and friends absolutely loved! She could cause mayhem while appearing whiter than white!0 -
He he don't be too impressed with my spelling as i googled it first :rotfl:
I read somewhere that the personality of a Narcissistic equates to that of a 6 year old child!!!0
