Just popped in to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas.
Special thoughts for those who are missing someone this year. Shed a tear and think of the happy times you spent together. It's what I do every Christmas morning.
I'm off to bed now, I have an ear infection and seem to be starting with a cold. Oh how jolly!!0 -
Good evening everyone,
Well, we've had a lovely day so far. I got all my cleaning done this morning, we went to Tescos, they had nothing much reduced (there too early due to the pantomime starting at 1pm, not 2 as in previous years!!!!) so we went over to Asda, were it was much better. Didnt get loads of bargains (like some of you) because we were there early, but did pick up a whole salmon which had been reduced to £8, and as we walked past the fish counter, the bloke was reducing them futher, so i ended up buying 2 for £8 instead!!!! Got a couple of chickens for £1.50 each, and some more salmon and tuna steaks about half price as well. Normally we go about 12.30, and get loads, but didnt do too badly considering the time.
The Pantomime was excellent, it is such a lovely start to christmas, and we then came home, to start tracking Santa - i wish we had found that years ago, im just as excited as the children by it!!!! We also popped back out to have an Indian takeaway, christmas is normally the only time we have takeaways (unless someone else is buying!!!!) so i dont feel guilty at all - i have a clean house and no dishes!!!!!
DS is in the bath at the mo, then DD will be going in and they have already had their first pressie - new pjs!!!! i put them on their beds for them to find when we got home, they were so excited when they found them. Hopefully, once Santa hits Europe, they will go to bed quickly, and hopefully they will go to sleep early, i can only stay in the bath myself so long, and i only have so many veg to peel, so could do with them being asleep quickly!!!!
Right, may or may not be back, depends on when the children go to sleep!!!!
Have a lovely evening everyone, ((HUGS)) to all those poorly people, hope you will be ok for tomorrow, and HAPPY CHRISTMAS to everyone!!!!!
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Evening Guys:D
OH got some excellent bargains from Asda & Sainsburys...but wont brag about it;)
Been quite relaxing here today. Last washload done and DW needs to be emptied in a minute, then all done. House looks lovely and looking forward to tomorrow:j :j :j Had a few mates come round with pressies/booze and flowers today and its been lovely. DD made some mince pies and blueberry muffins, so offered them to everyone with either fresh coffee or mulled wine that OH had made;)
Found out today that one of my best friends is pregnant again. She lost a baby at 9 weeks 5 months ago and Im so happy for her...she deserves it! They have tons of money problems but hopefully they can sort it out...they have a shortfall of £800 pm ATM. Am going to look over their figures and see what magic I can suggest-fingers x'd for them please:D Popping in there tomorrow to see them. Taking a big box of choccies as shes craving them already:eek:
I just wanted to say Thanks for all the lovely comments, advice and love Ive received from you guys this past year. You've helped me through a painful/difficult year and have made it that bit easier for me to cope with and kept me going! I owe you all lots:A Thank you:D

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.
Look after yourself scruffy.
Almost everything done now, DD's room has been bottomed ready for santa's visit. DD is bathed, has checked where Santa is, I've read her Twas The Night Before Christmas and she is now snuggled in her bed. DS is in the bath, all the veggies are done, the turkey is thawing nicely, everything is out of the freezer that needs to be.
The kitchen has been cleaned from top to bottom and all work surfaces cleared of unnecessary items. We just have to move the dining table into the living room in order to clear the floor, otherwise we can't fit all the presents into the dining room, bring the presents downstairs and I have to find a recipe for cranberry sauce as there doesn't appear to be one in my christmas cookbookOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi, all! Feeling very hapy and mellow after the candle lit carol service, and sharing Christmas books with the children. A couple of glasses of Chardonnay have helped, too!
Been following Father Christmas, and mentioned to DD that he was "in Egypt". DD replied that it wasn't a nice thing to say about FC. Turns out, she thought I'd said he was "an eejit" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Children can't believe our house could be so clean and tidy. New Year resolution already decided - keep it that way!

Hello :hello:
Got up late, pottered about - all shopping and cleaning done and dusted yesterday - then later went to friends down the road with two bottles of champagne (well it's Christmas!) and had a good old natter. Stayed until about half an hour ago. Lovely and cheery :j:j
And now all I have to say is...:D
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Evening All - Hope we are well and truly relaxing after a busy day
I managed to get to the crem, tearfull, but nice. My mum went yesterday, and apart from our visit's, no-one else has been!
Not much needs prepping for dinner tomorrow. So can do that later when OH fetch's presents etc from his parents house.
Both DS & DD have been bathed are in bed now, DD has been watching Santa on the move - thanks to you guys who introduced us to Norad. Its been a god send, especially after breaking the news about the rabbit.
They asked questions for about 5mins, DD wanted us to dig him up so she can see him. Bless her. I said we can buy some flowers and a nice plant soon to pop in the barrel planter I have. She had a few quiet moments saying she missed him, but both of the children have coped really well, better than I expected.
Just opened a bottle of Smirnoff vodka, with a hint of lime - its gorgeous. So Im on the road for relaxing.
Have a great evening all - Better still - have a great Christmas everybody
Drink & be Merry

Well, Christmas dinner started at 3.00 pm and the day has just come to an end. XDH came and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable day. DS and DD went to bed happily at 9.00. We played ate, drank, played games, talked, laughed and occasionally watched a very small amount of tv.
Presents are all wrapped and sitting under the tree. I'm informed that I will be getting up between 7.30 and 8.00 tomorrow.
XDH will be popping round around 8.00 to see them and has asked if he can go to Mass with us tomorrow. So, we will be going to Christmas Mass as a family tomorrow.
May your Christmas be peaceful and happy. With best wishes to all you wonderful people who have been a fountain of knowledge for me in these last few months and ((((hugs)))) to all those who need one. XXX"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
