Daily thread for Dec 24th CHRISTMAS EVE

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 24th December , Christmas 2006. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Twas the night before Christmas when all round the :j house, nothing was stirring not even a mouse.....

It seems I pressed the button a bit too early and now I am stuck in edit mode. Too much excitement I guess.

I hope everyone is well. I wonder what today will bring for you. I am hoping to completely avoid the shops, but I guess I will drop in somewhere and get something for someone. I need more wrapping paper too.

It's church first thing and then off to Penzance to visit relatives. Can't say I am looking forward to it, all inlaws you see, and their house smells. But it is Christmas and I supopose it's the season of good will.

I have most of the presents wrapped, although I gave up on the stocking fillers last night through sheer humbugness. Went to watch TV instead and enjoy the fire. Christmas overload. Happens everyear. You get to that satge when you think you have everything, and then you start wrapping and find that one child has more than the other and .....so on. It's a big parental nightmare. I wish Santa brought everything.

Well I hope Santa brings everything you want.....:xmassign:

I have everything still to wrap up. we are off to the in-laws later for an hour or two. must fill petrol tank too. noticed yesterday I only have quarter of a tank and we have a long journey on christmas day.
hoping to be back in doors by tea time and will be putting the feet up. must warn kids I am not going to be available for taxi services. I am determined to have some me time tonight before the crazy cooking marathon on christmas day.
If their Dad wants to run them around well thats up to him. ;)

AMIE399 welcome back. dont let comments on a forum get to you. people can be very blunt and rude when its anonymous. I have been upset myself. I think too that "cyber" words can often come over differently than they do in the "real" world
