Good Christmas Eve morning to you all.
Just about to make those mince pies with Trex. Wish me luck. Nice lazy day apart from cleaning bathrooms, changing bedclothes and a bit more washing.
Sorry to hear about Bunny - 3 years ago on boxing day my BIL's greyhound got mine out of his cage and killed him (we had even turned cage round to protect him, but it still happened.) kids were distraught at the time - but luckily they don't associate xmas with it now. Hope yours still enjoy christmas - we've got two cats now and the dog stays put at their house!
Looking forward to tomorrow - just wish it wouldn't go so fast - enjoy it everyone - eat, drink and be merry!
Off to bake and look at Norad!
Love BB xx
Ps belated birthday wishes to Catherine - hope you had a good day xxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

and I've cracked open my nuts. Smoky bbq cashews. Mmmmmmmm.
Just got on home from Mass. The ferry was late and arrived there at 7pm. It started at 7pm and we had a 10 min brisk walk ahead of us. DD wore high slinky sandals when I told her to wear sensible shoes but did she listen. Anyway up and down hills we strode and when we got there it was packed and the only seats left were right in the front row.So the grand entrance we made.
I hope your DD is better tomorrow Gin Gin.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone. ByeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all :santa2:
Well just taking a quick break before I finish the preps for tomorrow.
My brother has just called round so I can predict that it will snow at some point in the next 24 hours
Gammon joint is soaking is water, and I have teh SC and coke ready to give it a try. Am going to cook the turkey this afternoon, as we are off visiting in the morning and I don't want to come home and rush around too much.
Am planning on popping to Mr T's and Waitrose later to see if there are any bargins to be had.
Am going to treat myself to a bike ride now though, as I need to get some fresh air and could do with an exercise kick start.
Well if I don't get on again today :xmassign: to you all
Would also like to wish everyone good tidings, health and happiness for the coming year :xmassmile
Have a wonderful time and try and relax, no one will reemeber the things you forget

Thanks DLB might try the santa's helper thing with Clover (DD) but doubt DS will fall for it! Good idea tho.

Happy Christmas Eve everyone
Aimee I hope you are back - I think I remember what happened and I can assure you the person concerned would only ever be helpful and certainly wouldnt want to upset you - its definetly a case of the written word being misconstrued (sp!!) So get back here and join the party:j
Off to my folks for our christmas lunch today (going to my brothers tomorrow) so not been able to start on the sherry yet!! She is trying a new Delia recipe she found involving steaming a turkey crown:eek:  lol my mum is a dreadful cook bless her so Ive had a couple of tea cakes for brekky and can stop at the chippy on the way back if need be:rotfl: On the other hand she is doing goose fat roasties so things wont all be bad:j
Nipped out to get petrol and a paper earlier and it was mayhem at Asda - i pity anyone who has got to face that today.
This evening will be a fairly quiet one for me as I have to drive earlyish tomorrow so got to watch the intake.
Anyway wont be posting tomorrow or boxing day for sure so hope you all have the christmas you are hoping for and that of course Santa manages to visit you all:D
Hugs Nels xxx0 -
Just checking out the NORAD site. Father Christmas is just approaching Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, he'll be in Oz soon Aussielass, hang up your stocking:xmassmile.
The house smells really Christmassy. I've got a ham bubbling away, soon be ready to bake with a mustard and honey glaze. There's goose giblet stock on the go too. I'm half way through the sage and onion stuffing. I'm really hot because I'm cooking in a steamy kitchen, everyone else is lazing around and complaining that they're cold:rolleyes:
Going to try and keep the kids awake late this evening. Last year they all went to bed really early and then lay awake for ages complaining that they couldn't get to sleep. Then they did and by the time we were on Father Christmas duty they'd all woken up again  So if we keep them up they should fall asleep quickly and FC can do his thing while they're properly asleep.
Merry Christmas all:xmastree: :santa2:0 -
