The site's not quite right, is it? :undecided Wonder if they're having problemsI refreshed and it goes all wonky.
In my advent calendar today, I had a choc that said "SANTA'S ON HIS WAY". So I wouldn't worry too much, if the choc said he's coming, then he's comingBulletproof0 -
Good morning everyone,
Im SOOOO EXCITED!!!!! Tomorrow is Christmas day, and i love it!!!!! We have a busy day today, ive just made the jelly for the triffle tomorrow, and having a cuppa and a quick browse on here before finishing the cleaning. Not loads to do, but i do like it tidy so i dont have to do anything much tomorrow.
We will also be making Father Christmas some biscuits, and then we will be doing our normal christmas eve shop, to see if we can get any cheap bargains, normally do quite well, but always wonder if we might get there too early/late. We will then be going to see Snow White and the Seven dwarfs in Pantomime - hoping it will be good this year as we have Linda Lusadi, Sam Kane and Leslie Grantham - wonder how many web cam jokes there will be?????
We will then be treating ourselves to an indian takeaway (childrens choice) and hopefully the children will go to bed earlyish so that i can get ready for Father Christmas!!!! Will be laying the table, preparing all the veg and watching a bit of telly while i wait, prob with a glass of wine!
Right, really need to get moving, loads to do.
Aimee - glad to see you back, there are some lovely people on this thread, you only have to see yesterday, when it was my birthday, i had so many lovely wishes, it really made my whole day, all from these 'virtual friends' who i only know, and they only know me through these daily posts - i hope you continue posting after christmas x
Well, better be off, i hope eveyone has a wonderful christmas, i will be around, but for those who wont HAPPY CHRISTMAS.
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning all.
Welcome back Amie
I'm sorry to hear about the bunny too
Well, everything is wrapped, all food bought and the turkey is thawing in the microwave, it's not actually going, it's just shut in there safely after the disaster 5 years ago when the cats ate the turkey before I had cooked it.
I have a little more tidying to do in DD's room and a quick clean around the rest of the house. One last load of washing to do (just shirts that can go in the tumble dryer). We now have two weeks to wait before the bin men arrive again and with all the extra rubbish I am not looking forward to this, I hate having bin bags hanging around as our bin is out the front.
DH is more excited than the kids, he kept wanting to have christmas today as we were more or less finished.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning peeps :xmassign:
Norad still seems to have Santa stuck in GreenlandHope he gets down to your parts Aussie :snow_laug
I'm having a very large cuppa before the xmas eve rush starts. Just watching SCD from last night (although I did watch the results show) HAd a great time at the panto last night - Jack and the Beanstalk, although Spencer from BB was Jack - about as much stage presence as a bar of soap. Luckily, Jack was a fairly minor role
Plans for today - final assault with the vacuum/duster and kids will be sent to tidy their rooms. Final food prep, which will start soon. Didn't get round to doing any veg last night, so it's all the veg plus must remember to braise the red cabbage too. Goose is defrosting in the garage. Will also do a final sweep on Mr T's this afternoon after my visit to mum.
Will have a nice long soak tonight (ok, that's the plan ATM LOL) whilst boys get themselves to sleep because Santa will be bringing lots of goodies. Have a nice bottle of red that my neighbour gave me which I may treat myself to.
Right, busy busy busy day. Hope everyone has a fab day and (((hugs))) to those who need them

Good morning everyone :santa2: and welcome back Amie
I haven't read all of yesterday's thread so it looks as though I will have to revisit it. ((((hugs)))) to those who had bad news though.
Well, as DD and DS are going to in-laws with XDH tomorrow afternoon for dinner, we are having our Christmas dinner today. Turkey will be put in the oven after mass. Soup is made, desserts are calling out to be eaten, champagne is chilling and I am really so organised that I am sure I must be overlooking something. I suppose I will find out when it comes to sit down to eat.I wasn't sure how I would feel about this arrangement but I am actually really enjoying it. It is almost as though I have TWO Christmas Days with my wonderful children (I have them tonight and XDH will pick them up tomorrow afternoon).
Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas. I hope Santa brings you what you want.
Love Annie x"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Good Morning Everyone! And if I don't get a chance to get back on,
It's been a brill year for me on OS, and I've achieved loads. Main consequence will be a much more relaxed Christmas than in recent years, so thanks people. :T :A
We're just doing a last few jobs, than off to Bridlington. We meet some friends on the beach to play cricket, then longish walk along the beach to town for fish and chips (anyone who knows Brid, I have it on good authority that Busy Bees is refurbished and lovely). A few last minute bits from M&S then home.
6pm is the candlelit service in our church, which is completely magical. We process around the church, lit only by candles, and quick chat with lots of people.
Then home for veg from the veg box with cheese sauce. Traditionally, DH and I read The Night Before Christmas (a beautiful pop-up version) and The Grinch to the children. When I suggested that they read to me, for a change (they're 11 and 13  ) there was mutiny around the breakfast table :rotfl:  Compromise is that I read NBC and they read Grinch (one page each) to us.
Have a lovey time everyone, and big :grouphug: to all who are lonely, bereaved, or under the weather.

Morning everyone
Wooohooo, we are all very excited here. Nothing much to do for the big day other than do some washing and pack so we can head off to my parents mid morning tomorrow.
My poor dd is even more under the weather today, I really hope she picks up for tomorrow but at the moment she has no energy to do anything. We are planning on taking my parents dogs to the beach on boxing day and there is no chance of her going if she is anything like this.
We were planning on going bowling today but will probably put that off until mid week. I live round the corner from Mr T's so might walk round and see if they have any bargains at lunch time. I'm not sure if I'm that brave though!
Hugs to Crazychik and Snowyowl on your bad news.
Have a lovely day everyone0 -
Good Morning All
Am nearly ready, ironing all done bar what is washing at the mo yipee (I already know what one of my resolutions will be!). Gammon in slow cooker and will be roasted later with honey, mustard, sugar and cloves (must try & get all the cloves out this year otherwise OH always finds them).
Have got a buffet lunch at inlaws when will exchange presents to be opened tomorrow though. Probably will have to get Macdonalds on they way home as MIL is a little bit tight with her food (6 rolls between 8 people once!) Need to pop to the farm shop on the way as Asda had run out of carrots and brussels yesterday! Mind you they had also run out of turkeys and a lot of people were very upset.
ABout 5 pressies to wrap so shall do that in a minute. Have already cracked open the sweets and nibbles. Was a bit too organised this year - recently bought two large boxes of aftereights to find out that already had 2 stowed away. Luckily I love them and wont be thinking of the diet till New Year.
Anyway going to get on now.....Have A Wonderful Christmas All0 -
