I had a similar lightning delivery attempt not by the postie but by parcelfarce.
I made sure that I became a thorn in their side for that little trick to such an extent that it would have been easier for the whole depot if the prat had actually done his job properly in the first place. This involved repeated phone calls to the local depot and the supplier that used them, squandering their valuable management time and generally making a nuicance of myself. This desired outcome was achieved.
I had to go and collect the parcel - my only regret is that I didn't invoice them for the journey - I think I would another time.
However when I arrived to collect it the reception I got smacked of "look lively, here's that guy we peed off this morning, and we don't want another arguement"
I am confident they won't do that again with me. If they do I will simply ruin that day for them as wellBehind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -

I has Parcelfarce, leave a card, the day after he was supposed to delivery the item, (24 hour service) saying he tried to deliver it the day before (had a time on when I was at home) and it was now at the Local Post Office
The only reason...It was a bloody big/heavy parcel and he couldn't be arsed to get it out of his van.
I made sure his Depot get the message! and told the person I'd purchased the item from to claim compo for failed delivery.

I think they had a few issues though this year and it was knocked on the head. People apparently used to get some really cracking stuff.
Thats is illegal selling other peoples stuff. Yet again RM has shown that they do steal.0 -

It's not illegal, so long as they have given a reasonable amount of time for the items to be reclaimed. It is no different to what the airports, the London Underground, and even the Police themselves do.0 -

So RM losts post and then they can steal it legally. Boycott RM, they should loss the Royal part of their name because their is nothing royal about them. RM steals, damages and delvery late. Why should they get away with stealing yes stealing.
And if they did a better job of delivering post then there will be no lost (so stolen) items for them to sell.
I have got letters that have be totally damaged by them and yet they will not do anything about it. Send an email for free or send the same thing but as a letter and it costs £0.27+.
Once my brother won something on ebay and it got lost, we live in the only street of the UK that has that name so not really that hard to delivery it to the Sorting office of the town, took about 3 months for RM to get it to him andthe worst thing is that it was at the Belfast depot that is the losted post/parcels sorting office. And belfast is just under 10 miles up the run he even told RM that he has proof that it was his.

There is no delivery service in the world that has none of these problems. And if they did a better job of delivering post then there will be no lost (so stolen) items for them to sell.
You are forgetting that the items being sold will also include those things incorrctly addressed, that can not be delivered for whatever reason, that were inappropriately packaged, etc.Send an email for free or send the same thing but as a letter and it costs £0.27+.
e-mail is not free. At some point you, or somebody else, will be paying for it. That's not to mention that it's kind of hard to deliver the majority of eBay items via e-mail.Once my brother won something on ebay and it got lost, we live in the only street of the UK that has that name so not really that hard to delivery it to the Sorting office of the town, took about 3 months for RM to get it to him andthe worst thing is that it was at the Belfast depot that is the losted post/parcels sorting office. Mistakes happen. Now compare that to the hundreds/thousands of pieces of mail that you have had delivered on time and in good order.0 -
Nightswimmer, everythingblogcast either choses not to, or is incapable of understanding what the legal definition of theft or fraud is. In another thread before Xmas he went on for days & days exchanging insults before people just got tired of explaining to him. He seems to like hijacking other people's genuine complaints and gripes about RM or PF with his own experience.
Some of us are still waiting for his court case against PF/RM for fraud - LOL.From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
