for me i guess it would be my washing machine...how did they cope without one years ago? after 10 minutes of wringing out wet jeans my hands are killing me :o
the second most used thing in my house is my microfibre cloth, it is used for everything daily and washed used washed etc.
my oven to cook my hm delights in although i did manage perfectly well with my combi micro for years when my cooker died and couldnt afford to replace it till last year.
oh and me would find it difficult without the internet now we both spend far too long on here :rotfl:
a good set of knifes and pots and pans that last you forever.
proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance! :p

Washing machine would be very near the top of my list, but right at the top would be the freezer. I simply couldn't do without it, as my animals are raw fed. And although I could in theory go to the butchers daily, that still wouldn't be enough in the Summer. The fridge would come a close second, as we go through around 2ltrs of milk a day, and would cost a fortune buying single pints several times a day, as would need to be done in the Summer.

Most other things, I could get by without if I really had to:D

Oh I'm such a gadget freak that living without any of them would be hard. The hardest would be the washer and drier as I spent so many years handwashing before meeting OH that I still find them a luxury and despite many many lectures from MIL about my use of the tumble drier I cant imagine what my house would look like draped in wet washing from 6 people:eek:

  • Obviously washing machine, but on the lower end my newly purchased breadkeeper from Lakeland - I am absolutely amazed how many more slices I can get out of a HM loaf now :D
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Washing machine. My dryer is redundant now that I have a ceiling hung airer. I haven't used the TD once since I got it. I am a bit of a gadget queen though. Love my BM and everything else. Not really a gadget, but I do love my SKK pans.

Its got to be the washing machine. Is a car classed as a gadget? If so that would be my number one "go completely insane" without it gadget.:D

    Hi All

First up, apologies if this has been done before. I did a search but nothing came up for me.

Just wondered if there were any gadgets/gizmos that you really wouldn't be without?

For me it would be the Bread Machine and Washing Machine. I could manage without them, but I'd be longing for them back, pdq.

For less 'necessary' items, I'd go for my juicer and potato masher. Yes, I could use a fork, but the masher makes life soooo much easier!

    What are your must haves?
