Btw....my favourite kitchen gadget is the corkscrew.
Oh, I could kick myself for missing this one!
My "Waiter's Friend", the professional's bottle opener & corkscrew. £1.49 in Ikea, and yet another classic Ikea product name.

Ditto!
Stephen - a box of wine (3litres) doesn't need a corkscrew! (lots of bottles have screwtops too)0 -
Kitchen timer for me. I'd be lost without it. Mine can time 4 different things and I often have it timing 2 or 3 things.0

I think I might need one (or more) of these, too. I do tend to lose track of time, when the culinary muse takes me. However, there is a cookery competition program on telly when I get home, and I've noticed how many of the professional chefs use them (or a row of the things!) which makes me feel a bit better. Once again, good old Ikea comes up trumps, at just 99p each.

Digi scales, like lots on here. Small, cheap as chips, but love that it can be re-set as I add things. Have started weighing pasta and rice as well in order to get some portion control going on and just find them invaluable, they are one of the few things I actually keep out in the kitchenComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
