Groupon - CityLiving furniture delivery

I ordered the same furniture but from KGB on 7th June. Exactly same deal, & apparently exactly the same problems. Have emailed many times - no reply. Have tried calling - can never get through. When I chased it up through KGB I got a call back from them both explaining about the shipping problems, but also saying that they had some in stock & I was guaranteed one of these, but the courier was very busy & might take 2 weeks to get to me. After almost 3 weeks I've still not heard anything. I really liked the furniture but with summer over now I'm almost tempted to cancel & ask for a refund. But then I wonder if I'd get to next summer & see a similar deal & go through the whole process again?!! Are there any other legal rights for late delivery? compensation or something? Its so frustrating & at least if they gave an accurate delivery date & stuck to it I would know where I stood, but just getting fobbed off each time with lies is driving me up the wall!!0

A little update...
No email response within a week so I called them on 02035100410. Long wait but the chap seemed friendly and understanding, said they can only use the link provided by CityLiving. Explained that CityLiving were fine with my refund, Groupon are now processing the full refund to my card, which should take about a week. I'll use the refund to get a bargain in the end of season sales, something I can physically pick up in store :-)
I'd suggest others do the same if you're not prepared to wait any longer.0 -
We to have a chrome base - seems we all do, well those fortunate enough to have actaully recieved there furniture.. friends have told me it looks nice, and it does, but we are allin agreement that £250 tops would have been the right price - and that would be undicounted - so as I say in my forst post, a lesson learnt, discounts on Groupon are not really discounts just fabricated true costs!0

does anyone know how to get the carriage refund via google checkout? All I have been given is an order number from city living but can't get anywhere. Do I have to have an account? Help!0

I am also still waiting and because I thought it was a good deal I carried on waiting but now hearing about the quality of it I think I will now cancel - groupon did tell me that it would not be a problem to cancel so I now will do so
I had better not have any probs getting the shipping etc refunded too0 -
bloody groupon and city living - I told groupon I wanted my money back - they said it would take 5 days to refund - two weeks later and no refund so I told them again, finally I got my money back from them as for city living - asked for my refund from them for the postage and cover and Lee from city living has told me that it has been refunded but it has not, I have repeatedly asked for proof of the refund and the idiot just keeps on saying it was refunded on the 5th oct .....but it has not
they both are crap0 -
Hi there,
I don't know if you'd call me one of the lucky ones but I have actually received my furniture! I had exactly the same problems as you have all mentioned on here but must have got lucky because it arrived in July. Admittedly much later then they said but still in time for my son's 18th birthday barbecue.
Now the bad news - the chairs are great, yes it does stack into the Torpedo shape as shown, however I can't work out how to do it and my son has to do it for me! It's bloody high and can be prone to falling down if it's a windy day. The worst thing is though is the table. You have to fix the base on yourself when it arrives. Not a problem, it''s just a nut and bolt but whichever way you do it, the table doesn't stay upright. It wobbles all over the place and is totally unusable.
Needless to say I have emailed City Living with no joy and have now moved onto trying Balmer Media. I just want a replacement table but we shall have to see. I'm not sure if Groupon would get involved in this dispute or not.
Anyway, will keep you all posted.0 -

I got my groupon voucher in may 2011 and paid 1st june for delivery and covers adding an extra 51.95 .
After waiting the first 3 weeks I telephoned them, they said to look on a website put code in it will give delivery date. I waited put numbers in and waited and waited! I got an email on sept 15th it was in!! woo ! waited and waited phoned them up. Got another email, it was in, end of sept !!! Waited phoned them up.
Decided I had waited a bit too long, so tried to cancel.
Told groupon I would like my money back, still waited emailed groupon 3 times ..
