Groupon - CityLiving furniture delivery

Hi All
ordered mine back in may and have been chasing ever since
checked last updat and it says november 2011 - rang up and they said that the info that groupon had directed everyone to was out of date
Have complained to groupon who say that they can only credit me when city living(who are balmer media) advise me that they have cancelled
I phoned balmer and they told me to e mail sales@balmermedia.co.uk
to cancel
Have done that three times before I got a reply from a guy called lee who directed me to google checkout to request a refund but you can only do this if you are a google checkout account holder and have the relevant order numbers
I have e mailed this Lee again twice today asking for confirmation of cancellation with as yet no reply.
I have also e mailed Groupon advising them of the issues they are getting and especially the press they are receiving on this website
I will keep all informed as I've now got the bee in my bonnet!0 -
Ask Groupon to stick to their own promise:Nothing is more important to us than treating our customers well. If you ever feel like Groupon let you down, give us a call and we will return your purchase – simple as that.0

after e mailing balmer media three times yesterday i received a google checkout code which i have submitted for credit for the carriage
Balmer also say they will contact Groupon to advise cancellation
I have e mailed Groupon telling them this and asking them to sort credit as a matter of urgency

Why not ask (demand) for a refund?0 -
because I'm a nice guy and all the contact with Groupon has been fairly reasonable
I find dealing with people consideratly works better for me0 -
Getting a refund over a failed purchase isn't really anything to do with being "nice"! And this is a "rights" forum.
It's unreasonable of Groupon to keep your money and just give you credit against future purchases - (and it doesn't really come out of their pockets - certainly doesn't cost them anything as they won't pay the retailer)!0 -
Can anybody confirm delivery of this and review it ? I'm just not convinced that anyone has. They are not replying to my emails at all. It seems that it may likely be manufactured by Deihe Furniture Co Ltd in China. They have told me that they have no dealing with BM or city Living. I wouldn't neccessarily read too much into that though as it may be done through a third party ?0

having just spoke to them for our order, they have said to me mid spetember for delivery at the earliest... i have expressed my concerns to them and added to that we are potentially moving houses soon (but no date set).
this is rediculous. we love the furnature, but i will never buy from either city living, or balmer media again if i can help it!0 -
After placing my order over 12 weeks ago still nothing.
I have called and emailed ~GROUPON~ some people i spoke with were very helpful. Others NOT so!!!
I have recived a FULL refund of the £299. and am chasing city living for the delivery charge!
The company took on too many orders to fulfil. therefore long delays.
They have breached their contract as it says delivery UPTO 4weeks.
The summer will have been and gone by the time they arrive if at all.
You have to be persistant as they CAN refund. even after you have ordered.
I tracked my item after 10+ weeks it was still being construccted so that is nothing to do with shipping or bad weather.
I urge you to demand refunds.
:j Good Luck :j0 -
Demand a refund like we did0
