The food issue hasn't reappeared so I'm assuming he'd hurt his chops on the pigs ear.
Can't believe it at the moment. Im daring to hope again.
Poor dog.:(
Wouldnt it be good if vets could tell you what was wrong with your animal without going through all these trial and error tests? After all, it is their job to know.
As laypersons we can all keep guessing and trying different things, but it would be nice to have a proper diagnosis from the "professionals" so that you know what you are dealing with and how to cure it. Its not as if its cheap to take your pet to the vets these days.0 -
Wishing your little chap the very best. I guess you would have been googling madly to see if there is anything on the world wide net that could help diagnose this?0

I gave up googling, it went from giving me hope to having me in tears. The nearest we could come, and still come really is Heptacutaneous Syndrome which would be the worst possible diagnosis but does seem to hit all of his symptoms.
He's cheerful again today, we keep getting flashes of the old Jack, though in the midst of all this you find other things wrong (his hair seems to be dropping out).
This time next week hopefully we'll have an answer.0 -
Good to hear that he's wagging his tail.
Let us know how the op goes - seems like a long way off, but if the antibiotics are doing him some good, then a week will fly by.0 -

Morning all.
Bit of an odd week with him, he seems livelier but now feels like a bag of bones. Have to say I've not done so well this last few days and had many a cry. Still, his tail is wagging and he has seemed much more food motivated this week to the point where he is back staring at me while I eat lol
Dropped him off to the Vet an hour ago for his OP. He went in tail wagging and I came out sobbing. Now its a case of pray and wait for the phone to ring. Hopefully they will find something really obvious and it won't be a case of waiting on biopsies etc. Hopefully they will find something curable.0 -
Ohhhh! God, I know how you must be feeling. Big hug for you, and let's hope for good news.0
