  • I guess it is all so they can say they are in line with guidelines. Its the cash that you want and need
  • Well after 13 months of waiting, so many calls to barclays I came home today to some lovely letters saying that they have refunded
£9279 and they have put it in my account!
  • So happy for you Yetty. Whoop! Whoop!

We are still waiting, they don't have any paperwork. Ahhh
  • Thank you rebecca01 I was not expecting that much but after looking at the calculations I cannot believe how much ppi and interest I have paid over the years

Spoke to an adviser this morning and was told that they are striving to payout within 28 days of receiving offer acceptance form. Mine was sent & received mid August (via first class post, didn't feel the need for special delivery) so getting paid out by the 31st I think is wishful, but nevertheless it should be any day soon.

    Further to my earlier post.

Barclaycard paid the refund directly into my bank account last Thursday. (15/09/11)

From original complaint to payout, approx 7 months. Very happy it is now over. Going out now for a few cheery beers! :D

I have phoned Barclays again this morning just to check what is happening as it is now 6 weeks since I sent my acceptance form back in, and after holding for 20 minutes was told nothing more than before I had received my offer. The woman I spoke to then said she would have to log a request with the relevant team and they would be able to let me know more about what is going on. I therefore have to phone the customer services team back next Monday as it apparently takes them 5 days to read a message/request.

This is all really frustrating, espaecially as my loan payment for this month came out this morning without being adjusted down to my new figure.

Right, (I'm starting to take over this thread :)) I have spoken to Barclays again this morning because I got no information whatsoever off the woman yesterday and spoke to a man who was far more helpful.

I was told that my acceptance was logged on the system and I would have my payment no later than 21 October but it could be any day so just keep checking my account.

Looks like it is just a case of waiting now

I am also playing the waiting game with Barclays, would be keen to know please when you do get your payment. Thanks
  • Just had my cheques from Barclays!! - sent the acceptance back on the 1st September
  • I've had a credit card with barclaycard for the last 4 years. I haven't received a letter from them offering to refund anything so I've today posted a letter to them reclaiming the PPI on my credit card.
