Has anyone heard from Barclays since the gesture of goodwill letter?

Spoke to an adviser this morning and was told that they are striving to payout within 28 days of receiving offer acceptance form. Mine was sent & received mid August (via first class post, didn't feel the need for special delivery) so getting paid out by the 31st I think is wishful, but nevertheless it should be any day soon.

Hi Barclays told me today that they received my acceptence letter on 6th September but my refund could be up to 28 days,
Anyone any idea how long it takes to get the money or is it the 28 days. fed up of waiting now

Just be grateful that you have received an offer letter I am still waiting for my offer letter and my claim has been going on since Sept2010

Also forgot to say, I was 45 minutes on the phone to barclaycard, It cost me £16.00 on my mobile phone bill, once I have my payment I might send them the bill, has anyone else had the same experience

Hi Yetty,
Did you send yours to FOS? I did and when I got letter from FOS saying Barcalys would be settling direct with me I assumed I would get an offer by 31st August.

Rang Barclays last week and they said they had dealt with all those first that had not gone to FOS and were now dealing with those that had been sent to FOS. Told me mine were with their calculations team but I still haven't heard anything. FOS said to ring them if I hadn't heard by 15th September.:mad:

Spoke to Customer Relations yesterday as I had sent my acceptance form in 3 weeks ago. The guy there told me that they had received it and logged it on the system on 26 August but it will take up to 40 days for the payment to be made because of the number they have to do. Seems like I have been waiting forever for this!!!!

This is just typical of the banks, They have ripped us off once and they are still doing the same, If they keep everyones money for as long as possible it gives them the interest,
fed up of them now:mad::mad:

I can't understand why, when they logged my acceptance form on the system, they couldn't just pay it there and then. Maybe I am looking at it too logically.
