Something which cheered me up today http://frugalincornwall.blogspot.com/2011/08/standing-and-dancing-in-rain-on.html She is marvelous for the way she approaches things. I can see it can be done
I love the title as well- says it all really.

Oh Bob, grr! Can you not set up a standing order from Mr B's account for the mortgage, or would be just let it bounce? I think you've done the right thing anyway.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

It shouldn't bounce as in theory he has more than enough. I always see what he pays out through online banking, although i am not in charge of payments he makes to CC companies via his debit card as in paying off his debt to them. He needs to seriously re think a few things and this is part of the process of becoming debt free.
I am wondering why it becomes so emotive to discuss things with him? It always causes an argument and i never wanted to be dictating to him how he spends his money- as he works long hours and has always been a hard worker. But i sort of flipped that statement on its head as i thought he is dictating to me how i spend my money by ensuring he doesn't have enough- so plays to my conscience by knowing my personality will be that i prioritize repayments and will do my utmost to do what i say i am going to do. By the way he earns more than i do, so i don't think i am unfair in saying this.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Not at all.. it can take time for these things to occur to you. Might be a useful way of explaining how you feel about the situation thoughDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
