I received an apology email this morning, and then a second email claiming my order has been 'despatched'. From what I've found online, this seems to be a common practice of theirs to delay action being taken.

Won't hold my breath, but will update when / IF my order appears....

ditto, plus a request to remove the negative comment on Trustpilot.
  • Seems like I have just become the latest victim!

Came across nicecans.co.uk through Google search (verified site) on Tuesday lunchtime (whilst at work) and placed an order for a pair of headphones. Created an Account, but on reaching the payment stage, had an internet interuption (?), so couldn't complete the transaction. Foolishly, I tried to order again...this time with apparent success. Upon checking my order status, it showed two orders placed, one successfully paid for (I know this as my transaction went through the second time) the earlier "order" showing as "awaiting payment".

Wishing to check the orders and contact the Company from home that evening, to explain a possible duplication, I logged into my Account, but neither of the two orders were showing. I assumed my lunchtime dealings from work must have affected this, as my Credit Card statement was showing no transactions at all. So, even more foolishly, I placed a further order!!!!! Again, this succeeded and once I had paid (same Credit Card) I checked my order status, which was visible in My Account.

Checking my Credit Card statement online today, I noticed that both the "successful" payments had now been debitted, so I logged back into my Account at 'nicecans' only to encounter an unexpected "password" error!! Believing I may had forgotten my password, I requested a reminder, which was confirmed as being sent to my registered email address - surprisingly no email has arrived.

My suspicions now fully aroused, I tried the obligatory phone call, only to encounter the "full voicemail box" etc. A further Google brought me to this thread on MSE. Interesting reading and well and truly scammed I feel.

Now to TRY to get my money back...what are the chances of that I wonder ?
  • I like everyone else ordered from nice cans a docking station for my son for Christmas as they were selling it £15 cheaper than elsewhere. I am normally very careful at who I order from but this time was not as have never had a problem. I placed the order and got the standard 2days let you know, week went buy e mailed as not heard anything sent another nothing and in turn found bad reviews. I was very upset so e mailed the complaint form and said reply within 24hours. Luckily we did here and they said mistake and would send that day,got the e mail to say was sent and received a perfect product. Although I would never shop there again feel very fortunate and hope others get something done.

I reckon he's just returned from a luxury holiday at our expense and that's why he is now picking up emails!

bloody cheek, I won't believe the product is actually coming until I have it in my hands. Even if it does arrive, I will NEVER use them again and will make sure to steer everyone I know well clear of it. I advise everyone else to do the same!
  • It would appear that putting a review on TrustPilot has done the trick, as TrustPilot send a copy of your review to them. The goods as ordered were received today.

NiceCans sent a couple of (transparent) apologetic emails including a request to remove the TrustPilot review on receipt of the goods. Sorry, that ain't going to happen. I updated the review instead.

These guys need to understand that we online customers will not accept this kind of behaviour. Online sellers have to work hard now in this financial environment to stay in business. NiceCans must have several bullet holes in both their feet by shooting themselves in the foot well and truly!

It seems this gadget distribution is a legitimate company run by Ian Willaims (sic) with address issues.

Hmm. An impartial post no doubt. ;)
  • i ordered from these muppets and after 2 weeks nothing, they didnt reply to none of my emails and i left 3 phone messages still no reply, goods i ordered came to £35.

next was no messing about a 1st class recorded letter to them threatening court action unless goods were delivered asap or money refunded, and surprise surprise an email of apology saying the usual crap i.e system error unprecedented number of orders close to xmas blah blah , and goods were here next day.

one of the thigs i ordered was a wii remote plus, and they sent out the cheaper 1 without the motion plus inside. I cant be arsed to chase this up as its so close to xmas and id write the £10 off as they sent me out the cheaper 1 and put it down to experience, i should have just ordered from amazon instead of trying to save some money.

I dont care what the good reviews are (if any )my advice is to steer clear they are scammers

    regards Chris
  • I ordered from Nice Cans website on the 8th December. Because I hadn't heard anything, I checked my bank, and sure enough the money had been taken from my account. I then read all these terrible experiences from others about how they had been ripped off/scammed. I must admit, I was very worried.... I then decided to phone the number on the website, and was (after 3 tries) able to talk to a bloke, who said that there had been a problem with the website, and my account was showing that they were awaiting my payment, but he said he could also see that payment was received. He was most apologetic, and said that he would ensure that my order was disptached the same day (16th December).

I was very dubious, and thought that this was a ploy to put me off and waste more time. He assured me that I would receive my order by today (20th). I was most suprised to find that the order was delivered on Saturday (17th). They were packed well and had been sent by recorded delivery.

I was so glad that I received them, as they are christmas presents for my nieces. I got a good deal in the end (they were half the price on other websites).
Maybe they aren't crooks, maybe there are glitches on their system.

Although I don't think I will order from them again.....just in case!

I guess, like me, that you try to look for the good in people rather than the bad - especially when you finally get the goods after rattling their cage - see my post #117 above ;)

There is too much evidence elsewhere on the web and in this thread, that these guys are less than good businessmen
