  • Well I finally got my order this morning, but I will definitely not use them again - because you should never ever have to chase a company for information on goods that you've paid for! If they had been more open and honest then my opinion on them would, maybe, be quite different, but to simply ignore people because they've run out of stock is unforgiveable.
Sorry nicecans, I guess I can say now that you are not a scam site but your business practices and customer service leave a lot to be desired.

Good luck to everyone else still awaiting goods, I hope you get your stuff before christmas.
  • Another one here having major problems with this company.

Money took on 5th, , order status still says not payed for , numerous emails not answered and only an answer phone message to say call back another time.

no way to contact and get a result from this shambolic company. will leave it to my bank to chase and do a chargeback. I will then leave appropriate feedback on the site that has been mentioned.

    Gutted.

Ordered a game from nicecans that was meant to be a Christmas present for my 3 year old son. I ordered on 10th december, assuming that the 5 working days delivery meant I would get it in time for Christmas. I've ordered quite a few things recently so it was only a couple of days ago that I realised the game hadn't arrived. I sent a quick friendly email - no reply. Started worrying, and a quick google brought me here. I've since emailed them twice more and will try to call today, but there is NO chance now of getting the game before Christmas. It's not in stock in any local shops and too late now to order a new one from elsewhere without paying a fortune.

Also, in my 'account' on the nicecans website it shows two orders - one that is paid and awaiting dispatch and one that is awaiting payment?!? I definitely only ordered once.

I've emailed again and said unless they know the item is going to arrive today or tomorrow (HA!) then I want to cancel my order and have a full refund.

Lets see what happens... either way I'm going to have a pretty disappointed little boy on Christmas day :(

  • I ordered some headphones from these on 05 Dec, they were listed as dispatched on the 06 Dec. I paid for express delivery (within 3 days) and guess what?.......... still no headphones. No response to my emails, and no one answers the phone.
Incidentally their number is 0844 8127713 just incase anyone would like it.
  • There I was thinking I was special....

Ordered on 5th December Xbox Wireless Controller.
Didn't bother setting up an account as didn't think it would be worth it - just express paid.
Email received, payment taken. job done.

Now on 23rd December - no sign of the product, three emails sent to both info@nicecans.co.uk & complaints@nicecans.co.uk, no reply received. No one ever answers the phone just says "Your call cannot be taken - please try again later"

What can i do? Paid on my Visa Debit card - only £20 but considering it's now cost me £45 as I've had to pay another £25 to buy the controller in a store.

Hi everyone. I too have fallen foul of Nicecans.co.uk and am rather upset that I've had to go out in the rain today to secure a wireless Xbox controller for my son for Christmas (and pay for it, again)..

My saga is much the same as everyone else's so I won't bore you with the details: I ordered, they took the money, they had it erroneously marked as 'unpaid' so it never got dispatched and now, lo and behold, it's on back order ! No email, no apology, no communication and NO ANSWER on their alleged customer service phone number.

I looked up the Company. It's declared as a sole trader called G & J International without the names of those running the firm. That in itself stinks of scam. I am working on getting the names of those involved so they can be sued, if necessary. (No surprises what I do for a living !)

For those in my position, I suggest you cancel your orders in writing. Their terms and conditions are an absolute joke in legal terms so nobody, except them, has any worries there. Give them seven days to effect the refund.

Due to the dubious nature of this firm's legal status and the fact they haven't disclosed the name(s) of the proprietor(s) I am going to start making noises with Trading Standards and their card processor. Perhaps some others want to do likewise as Trading Standards won't act until they have several complaints about the same firm - the more the merrier !!

I hope you all get the stuff you wanted and that there aren't too many disappointed faces out there on Christmas Day - no thanks to Nicecans.co.uk who are now probably living it up over Christmas in the Bahamas thanks to us!
  • Have just read Ianwilliamsgadgets note and it seems we now know who these people are. Yes, you're quite right ! They can be sued personally so very careless and once people's personal details start appearing in the forums, it's a guarantee that they will get their comeupance one way or another. The legal system is very frustrating and actually seems to protect those who it should be locking up ! The Police are unlikely to be much help as this sort of 'offence' toes the line between civil law and criminality and they love to go down the 'it's a civil matter' route. If there's enough people involved, it's worth putting up a joint-action against them. One trial, one fee (split plenty of ways) and an almost certain outcome. This, however, as will all legal proceedings, is not an overnight process !
  • I have no complaints with nicecans.co.uk & am surprised at the reviews on this site.
After searching everywhere for the Angry Birds Knock on Wood Game. I pre-ordered it on the nicecans site as they were the only company that would have it in stock before Christmas. nicecans emailed me 3 times with updates on my order. It was dispatched on 16th December & received on 18th December via recorded delivery.
Maybe I got lucky with my order or maybe they have bucked their ideas up & got their business in order. Either way I am happy & would order from them again :)
  • I too was sucking in by this website it was the cheapest but now to my peril i have found that as they say its not always the best
    poor comms ,poor delivery

it did arrive on xmas eve i will wait and see if it works tommorrow
    watch this space

  • I unfortunately echo the bulk of the posts here. Ordered goods on 2nd december money taken straight away under ithingy.co.uk name and still no goods received. Impossible to contact them by phone although have left voicemails to which they have not responded and have also emailed them on several occssions without any replies at all. There is no update or info on their website, very frustrating. Am seeking refund from my credit card provider, and these people should be stopped trading as they appear to have a very dodgy trading history I don`t know how they get away with it, very very poor and suggest that other shoppers BEWARE..!!:mad::(:(
