At least it wasn't this advert for Hampshire Police!

HA HA! I remember that! I actually spoke to the guy that did the wrap, he thought it was funny, but decided not to mention it!!
They ended up painting the exhaust black.. lol0 -
and these big adverts were only viewable from the inside of the bus?0

May I ask what you expected to see out of a [STRIKE]Torquay hotel bedroom[/STRIKE] bus window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically...?
With apologies to Basil Fawlty.

One can see partly though a mesh advert, if the windows were completely obscured it would probbaly make some passengers sick, and therefore be against the Health and Safety at Work act.0

But the passengers aren't at work?
I can see the problem if they fitted the mesh to the windscreen!0 -

I have heard it all now
Would the same act apply on a ship when below decks with no windows, or on a plane when the blinds are down
I dont think so0 -

Here is an example of what I mean: www.plymothiantransit.com/2008/10/another-new-advert-bus.html
That's awful!! When I started reading this thread I didn't think all the windows would be covered like that - If I used that bus out of choice for a fun day out I wouldn't use it again - an hour and a half with the windows covered up is not my idea of a good day out!
If I just needed to get somewhere of course then that's different but it would be much more pleasant to be able to see out properly.0 -
Its terrible, its awful......seriously. If it was that bad why didn't the OP get off after 15 mins or even half an hour rather than subject themselves to the whole journey. The OP wasn't bound and gagged and then forced to stay for the whole journey.
What about other people that use the bus that actually wants a little protection from the bright sun heating the inside of the bus to oven temperatures. As for contravision its perfectly viewable through if you do just that, look through it rather than at it. Its used everywhere now I even have it on my car (rear window and rear side windows) and I can still manage to see perfectly well when reversing and I can still see whats behind me looking through the interior mirror!!Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
The alternative is to close your eyes and think of grass, sheep and cows... That's pretty much all you're going to see when you drive through the countryside. I doubt it changed much in the few hours since you last drove through it0
