Hurruh I can access the forums today. Couldn't get on them yesterday

Final work day before Christmas, with the exception of Christmas Day.

I still feel under the weather, with a massive headache deciding to start up today. I've finally managed to find cranberries for cranberry sauce and pistachios for a terrine Mum wants to make

Did the bulk shop last night, and we managed to save around £30 of a shop of £130, which I thought was quite good. Doing the fresh stuff shop this evening.

Still got some presents to deliver, hoping to do that tomorrow.

Still better get on with some work

We are not invited as we are too old:D OH already has the beers in the fridge and take away menus out:confused: ....dont know who's suppose to be paying?

Am waiting for my anniversary pressy to arrive from OH. Have been told by DHL that it will be here this afternoon....funny....they said that yesterday:rolleyes: ...Ive been after a decent watch for months now and found the exact one i wanted from Ebay.com (USA) for half the price of over here as the pound is so strong ATM. Wasnt cheap...but Im worth it:D

Have listed a few items onto Turbo lister for the cheap listing days that normally come up after Xmas. 2 cupboards sorted.

Right, I have to go and see DD before she goes. Hugs to all.

Not had chance to read the rest of the thread properly but I thought you lot might like to hear about my success in weight loss....

I did a bit of shopping this morn and on leaving makro I suddenly became aware (while both hands full & with nowhere to rest the stuff) that my skirt was very loose - so loose it was already halfway down my hips. I ended up doing a very peculiar walk to the car, and when I finally reached it had to spread my legs as wide as they would go to hold my skirt up as I felt it make a dash for the floor! I don't think anyone saw.... but I didn't dare look around.
Now if only I'd been wearing the O/S identity badge - i'd have been able to sort it out :D

Well done on the weight loss Kazonline.

I was doing a funny walk yesterday because one of my stay-up stockings decided not to live up to it's name. I had to get to the car before it descended to my ankles, as DH says - not a good look.

I've now lost 17lbs with weight watchers and feeling better for it. Am trying desperately not to slip too much for Christmas.

    8_2_78v.gif Well

that's work done with until 3rd Jan. Woo Hoo.

Came home and house is a tip. DH and DD have been home alone - and it shows. Never mind it'll keep me busy.

Set for christmas - just got to finish packing and pick stuff up from butcher in the morning.

I probably won't be back until after the big event. So have a good one everyone.

forgot to say hugs to GrannyBroon's friend

I had something similar happen to me - but somehow not nearly so bad( I was 7 months "gone" not full term)

All I would say is let her talk about it and about the baby. I found no one wanted to mention it. And of course it was THE topic on my mind. Especially the fact that you have to go through labour and the full birth

    take care.

Right friends, need advice, dh just phoned again and someone at work has given their turkey to him aswell.
So do i cook one tonight and make other things out of it, eg curries, sandwich fillers, or do i freeze it for new year.
I havent got many turkey recipes so not sure if it would be a waste to cook it today?

    Afternoon everyone :)

Hugs to Grannybroon, that is such sad news.

I promised myself that I wouldn't come on here until I had finished my jobs and they are finally complete. The house has been given a christmas spruce up and some cooking has been done. I am finally feeling truly festive.

We are having an afternoon of movie watching and nibbling, the children are being kept busy by drawing a picture for Father Christmas, in front of Santa Claus the movie. I even managed to get them to tidy their rooms in anticipation of a visit from him! Oh has had to take our car to the dealership as we can't get our back seats up after laying them flat for a trip to the dump, aparently it is a common fault with our type of car but we can'tget the children in the car until it is sorted. I hope it is something simple and I hope they don't charge (yeah right!).

Have a good rest of the day :)
