Hello everyone.

I have waaay too many choccy biccies if anyone wants one?

Should (hopefully) be a good day at w*** 'cos its dead today - hence me sitting at my desk browsing these posts!

Got a load of washing drying and a last-minute-shopping list for this afternoon (friend just decided to say she has gone vegan ... her Christmas present is Baileys and I can't find the receipt to take it back :mad: )

Is the weather really bad over in England? (Never heard of freezing fog before?!) 'Fraid its been quite nice over the last few days in Guernsey - sunny but chilly! Not sure where the suns gone today tho

Hello everybody,

Gorgeous sunny day here today. Although they have predicted a scorcher for Christmas Day. Had family over today and DSis & I exchanged presents. Mine is under the tree. Looks like chocolates. Did more work up at the house this arv. Plans for tomorrow is cooking & preparing stuff. We don't have a hot meal here. I will cook our turkey roll, chook etc tomorrow & I make lots of HM salads to go with it. For dessert I make cheesecake, trifle & pavlova. If it's cooled down by night I do some roast veggies but if not, the oven doesn't go on.

DGS was suppose to come yesterday but had a vomiting/diarohhea bug. He's much better today and has kept his food down. Little bit seedy but I"m sure he'll be fine for Monday.

Don't have much time to post now I'm working all the time, thank crunchie its Christmas! All ready for a bit of r and r, presents wrapped, cards delivered, most of it done, just need to buy the christmas food - which I will brave soon enough!

Hope most are sorted and ready to go with the flow of Christmas and all it brings. Its a shame about the bad news Granny, hope most are finding it okay - its always harder at this time of year.

Well I'm nearly sorted now, did the Asda shop last night not as stressed as I thought, just the turkey & other meats to pick up from the farmshop tomorrow afternoon.

Change of plans tonight, friends still coming for supper but the kids aren't going to grandmas overnight as I took DD to the doc yesturday, I have been concerned about her breathing all week and it turns out she has Asthma:eek:
We came away with an Inhaler plus device which resembles a small space craft and have to go back in 2 weeks. Shes got to take it four times a day so I'm hoping there will be some improvement soon.

Loads of washing to do but otherwise nothing too exciting happening.

OH is really in the dog house, after the debacle with the keys he kept me awake snoring and fidgeting.... so only just got up, have a busy day and wanted to get everything done, but can't see that happening. First job is to strip the bed and put on the new bed linen...... want to put the dyson over the mattress and turn it......then clean the bedroom and bathroom. Also wanted to bake mincepies and a chocolate cake..... was also going to do shortbread but DD1 came yesterday and brought a tin of M & S shortbread...

Friend has managed to sort out her favourites...........phew, was at the stage where I was not going to pick up any emails until after Christmas...... last night another friend who's OH has been in hospital for a serious op emailed to say he was getting out today, they have found a problem with his heart but it can be sorted as an out patient in the new year.........they are going to have to do some heart searching, his job is in London and they live in the West Country........he commutes each day.........

well hello again back from last bits shopping with DD2 got there at 8.15 car park at morrissons grays mostly empty:j
did shopping had a wander round the shops all done now just fruit and veg order to be collected on xmas eve so just chilling with a cuppa and a cake
2 older ones to be collected at 1 so will really get into the spirit then waited in all day yesterday as hubby ordered a load of beer from a brewery in chatham he got 2x 17pint polypins of real beer i will be sticking to archers peach
friends for dinner tomorrow all hubbys work mates and familys but it is lovely to have them round as we dont get together too often and the kids all get on really well:j
hope everyone has a great day and stays warm if you are going out make sure you wear bright clothes so you can be seen when crossing the road[i sound like my mum:eek: ]

Hi everyone,

Havn't posted on one of the 'over the fence' threads but am so bored of cleaning the house I figured I'd log on for a browse and jump in. Hope no-one minds me joining in.

Finally finished work yesterday and made my huuuuge to-do list for today! Don't know if anyone else is the same but its so foggy and cold and horrible here in Worcester I don't think I can motivate myself to leave the house!!!
I'm glad i'm not the only one giving the house an extra clean, why do we all feel the need to do this around christmas time!!!

Have of course od' on Christmas chocs and biscuits so figure I'll clear the fridge and try to get back on track by making a soup today. Oh, and of course I need to finish the gingerbread men I made yesterday to clear space in the biscuit tin!! (Thanks for the recipe Bexstar, fantastic!!)

Happy Christmas Everyone

I am finally a very happy bunny as my VAT, Expenses and invoicing are all now finished (its been a tough one this time so a real relief to be done)

This of course means that I am now finished for christmas (till the 2nd:j :j )

Just going to get ready then off to a work Chrismas lunch with one of my directors (Dad!!!!) After that ..........who cares as long as its not work:rotfl:

Ill catch you all later when my giddy kipper attitude will hopefully have calmed down.:D

hey all,
well at work today, a few odds and ends to sort out. nothing taxing. finished christams shopping last night with just a spot of shop rage (managed to restrain myself before anything could happen) then i'll be off home to prepare some food for some friends coming over for christmas. will all be nice and simple before the craziness that new year usually is.... if i can fly out that is... AH!

Dh just phoned and the turkeys worked promised them have arrived, and they are fresh!!
Will it be ok in fridge till then?? never had fresh before Help!!
