Still adding tinsel to dd's room for day 22!
We have friends round this afternoon for mulled wine and gingerbread (shortbread for friends oh though as he doesn't like spicy stuff!)
Have to get the turkey out of the freezer today as I cook ours on Christmas Eve.
Scarf 4 nearly finished and I have lots of lovely new wool now for more!
Must go let in frozen cat!

Morning everybody :hello:
LAST DAY AT WORK TILL 2007 - WOOHOO!!! Today we'll be working till lunchtime, going to a local caff for lunch, then off home for the Christmas break. It won't be much of a break in my case - I have church services to sing on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and the time between Christmas and New Year will be spent trying to get the flat in some kind of order.
After work I will need to do a spot of shopping, including for a Christmas tree :xmastree: - even at this late stage I still haven't worked out whether it's best to get an artificial one or a real one. I've ALWAYS had a real one, and as I have no built-in storage in my flat it would seem logical, but I don't drive, haven't worked out what my local council (Southwark) do about getting rid, and don't have anything to stand a real one in. So I suspect I might be down at B&Q this afternoon making my mind up.
We had our team Christmas meal last night, which cost me the grand sum of NOTHING (I didn't go to the main company "do" so the company's budget for me got carried forward to the team dinner) though I did buy a round of beers afterwards.
I just read through the end of yesterday's thread, so ((((hugs)))) to grannybroon and friend. Your message came on a day when I was already thinking about the loss of newborn babies - a colleague went on maternity leave yesterday with her second child, having lost the first at birth in October 2005. She and hubby must be scared stiff that something will happen to the second, and everybody is praying that all goes well.
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Morning everyone,
Not looking forward to the 200 mile drive this afternoon!
DH is at M & S buying goodies to take up with us, but I talked to SIL last night and it seems we will hardly be in over Christmas. I ended up feeling very down about it all, partly tiredness I think, because I don't think I'm going to have much time to relax before I'm back at work next Thursday.
DS and DD are driving up tomorrow so I hope the weather is better for them.
Happy Christmas everyone if I don't manage to get on again until we return.

Good morning everyone :hello:
Penny Watcher, sorry to hear that you are stressed at the minute. Sending U a hug :grouphug: - I hope Christmas goes smoothly for you. As you say the children should be able to enjoy Christmas properly.
Well, this is our last day of work. Pretty relaxed in here today. I am in the process of looking for a suitable e-Greeting to send to my family in South Africa.
Later on my partner and I are meeting a friend of mine for lunch. He has flown over from Scotland to spend Christmas with his parents. Thankfully he had no delays at the airport.
Have a good day everyone
