No idea what I can say apart from thinking of you all at this very difficult time and I hope you get sorted soon.

If you need a PAYG O2 sim card I have one somewhere and can post it to you, it's just a spare that has never been used.

You could keep the other sim as I am sure if the police get involved further, or a solicitor, they could be used as evidence.

    Stay strong.
One day I might be more organised...........

TK - any chance you could get my car back at the same time? That would be great....

lil_me - thank you so much for the offer but I rang my m/b provider and because I've got a crime ref no. they are going to change my no. for me - but not until the next working day (i.e. next wed) - still good though.
I'm not deleting the voicemails - just not going to listen to them and then if they are ever needed for evidence of anything then let it be....

I can't stop saying thank you to you all - so thank you again!!!

My heart goes out to you! It seems there are several people on here that have been in a similar situation - me included. My advice (for what it's worth) is to stay strong. I had my ex back several times before I was finally able to finnish it for good. He also used threats of suicide and emotional blackmail about the children.

Your children will be ok. You are doing the right thing not slagging thier dad off. I can fully understand why you don't wnt to completely wreck thier relationship with him. But kids are very resilient. You however need to look after yourself. I think you are doing the right thing taking some time off work. It is important to keep physically and emotionally healthy the best you can.

I know you've alraedy had pleanty of offers of support but you can also PM me if you want.

Thx again for all your replies.

My friend told me last night that my car was at his Mums so I have rung the police this morning and they are going to go round. I asked whether it would mean that he would be locked up for Xmas and they said that it probably would - which I'm crapping myself about because I'm sure that this will just make things worse for me.

    skintas - I've PM'd you.

Atleast the kids seem OK - my youngest asked me to ring her dad yesterday because she misses him and wants to talk to him and I said his phone's broken which is true because he smashed it off the floor a couple of weeks ago when we'd argued. My eldest has asked whether we can stay at my parents until her birthday (which is in June!) so I don't think she minds being away from home too much.

hope you get the car back but with no trouble.

I feel heart broken for you and your family but also for the other posters in this thread who have experienced this violence first hand. I feel so blessed not to have to had to deal with such a situation. I hope that you will all find happiness and safety soon.
