If you've had time to post a thread since this was asked, I doubt the question will come up again very soon. They are probably onto wondering where fish fingers are from considering that fish don't even have fingers.
Next time just tell him/her "Mummy's tummy" and the rest is completely irrelvent at this age. Any ideas surrounding "seeds" etc are quite frankly ridiculous at age 3."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Agree with the first bit but up to each and everyone to decide on how much they expand. Nothing wrong at all with saying a seed is growing - certainly isn't "ridiculous" especially when they understand seeds growing in the garden0 -

My post was more in response to the posters who were coming up with explanations as to where the seed came from and getting into knots or worry about trying to expand on it. A three year old isn't going to worry or care about the ins and outs (quite literally)."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

Fair enough - quite different from what you posted originally however. The idea of a seed being there is a good one (IMO of course) and what we used
The "ins and outs" made me chuckle however0 -
And it isn't a seed.. it is an egg.. like a chicken lays

I remember asking my mum when I was little and she just went "to be honest Katie I don't really know myself, i'll have to get a book from the library". I asked her every single time we went to the library or a bookshop apparently!!!0
