and i'm a bit stuck as to what to say lol. Idea's at this age please??.... I know if I go down the "daddy planted a seed into mummys tummy" route she'll ask "how did he get the seed in to mummy" :rotfl:

When a grown-up man and a grown-up lady love each other very very much, a very special thing happens, and a seed grows in the lady's tummy so that they can become a mummy and daddy and share their love with a very special baby that was created because they loved each other so much.

The biology bit can gradually be expanded on as she gets older.

Don't know why I'm answering this, I don't even have kids, so what would I know....?

Babies come from Mummy's tummy. How they get there and how they come out are probably discussions to be had a later date. Just give enough information to satisfy their curiosity but not more than they can understand.

We've got a book or 3 that gives the child the information they need at a certain age. I think we've also got one called "willy the sperm" or something, which worked well brilliantly with my DD, but had my Mums eyes popping out when they read it together :rotfl:

We told our DD everything when she was 4 or 5, at 5 she was much more interested, as the OH was pregnant again, so we had all the books out that show everything.

Bearing in mind the awful (ie none) growing up advice I got from my parents, I wanted to be totally open for my kids, my Mrs agrees.

We did have to tell our DD to not tell her friends at school about it, unless some mother got a bit hot under the collar.
