Oh Lola I hope your cat comes home soon. Mine went missing for about five months once. I'd given up hope when one day I came back from work and there he was mewing on the doorstep. He was a lot skinnier and looked a bit worse for wear but he was fine.

I had the shock of my life today. Some evil scamming theif has decided that they will help themselves to the contents of my bank account. They were really thoughtful and kind though and left me with £3.23. I was only last night admiring my bank account (I'm not rich but it was nice to have some cash in there the week before payday!) Grrrrrrr, They've scuppered my BH plans now too. I was going to drive down to London for carnival. Gutted!

Chika, that is horrible! Hope the bank is helping to get it back for u.
That is my fear, I don't have much money, infact, I live in my overdraught, hate it, but its a necessity just now.

  • Chika, how awful for you. :( What evil, rotten barstewards there are in this world. It doesn't matter whether it was a penny, or a million quid, it's your money, and not someone elses to remove.

Don't say if you don't want to, but, just as a warning to ignorant souls like me, how did they carry out the scam?

I had a shock 2 years ago, when our credit card statement listed 2 x £500 online bets. As DH has never gambled, and can't use the computer, I knew he was innocent, but was cross at the paper work we had to complete, and surprised that we weren't told the outcome. Was it an admin error? Was it a scam? They wouldn't tell us.

Lola, so sorry to read about your missing cat, and hope you hear a friendly purr soon.

    xx

Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Thanks everyone. I have no idea. It was done by card apparently. I was online trying to pay for my contact lenses which are only a tenner but my card declined. I tried it a couple more times and then called the bank who told me that my balance was £3 odd. I almost fainted there was almost £800 in there last night. So then they had a look and said that multiple card transactions had been made, I asked who to and they apparently can't tell me as it's confidential. They are normally a brilliant bank but I think they are being really unhelpful today. I think my card must have been cloned. I can't think how though as very rarely eat out and I only use "official" cash machines. I normally just get cashback with my shopping.

  • Oh Chika, that is just awful, what a lot of money too! Did they stop your card now? I think it is possible to get the money back, I hope so anyway!

Lola, I've also been thinking of your cat all day, hope she is ok.

Hi everyone, I'm back from a week in a field with hundreds of screaming kids... It was awesome :j. You just can't be down with all the friends and fun going on. I didn't buy a single drink, but didi get some chips after I finished shift at midnight once. I resisted all the fancy dress and hippy clothes... I spent 1.50 on 2 bangles though. Think I spent about 20 in total which was fine.

Hope everyone is well? And hopefully happy. I have read to catchup but can't remember what I wanted to say now. Sorry.
Hi slowly. I have on order the new magazine 'vintage life' and up to now each month there has been a real vintage wedding in. Like people getting married in woods with bunting and gramophones for the music etc. With vintage tea sets for the buffet, you get the drift All looks so dreamy. Makes me want to get married all over again, though there is only me in our house who thinks vintage chic is lovely :)
    Luv dizzy x

    Hi everyone,

Thought I would post this from Wise Bread

  • Lola please keep us up to date on kitty!!!

I have spent far too much this week, to be honest I have been soooooooo terrible I don't even want to talk about it. I have not put anything on ebay since DH has been off work either. I am just soooooooooo bad at the moment  I have truly fallen off the wagon. I have been freezing all day which makes my back ache terribly but have refused to put the heating on in August!!!

I have been looking at those remoska cooking thingy me bobs today. £130 but are apparently cheap to run. You would have to use it all the time to make back the £130 though wouldn't you???? Has anyone used one? I can't even find one cheap on ebay.

Off to beat myself for being bad bad bad

    Luv to all

    PIC xx
