    Hi,
I didn't know about that site for the book, I got it by googling the name of the book and free downloads. That's how I got the Eat That Frog PDF too.
It's worth trying this for any book you're after.

lola I need to know if you have found your cat :o it has been playing on my mind.

Me too Lola! I'm a bit of a lurker lately, but have been worrying about you and puddy tat........??

    Big hugs.

    Still no sign of her.
I live on the border of 2 towns, have foned the only 3 vets within 15 miles, they have taken details, but I don't hold out much hope.
My cousin sent me a msg saying that a cat has bn found in next town n handed to vets, but they hadn't received any cats... their is a cat rescue person, so she may be with her, but I can't find her number anywhere, need to wait till the paper is on sale today, as she has a weekly pet section to rehome the cats... might even find myself looking at MalleyCat.

Was working last night and 1 guy gave me a £7 tip!
We went to a tony roma restaurant on Wednesday night. Slowest service ever! Food wasn't even all that great! We missed the crazy golf coz of how long it took. I left a comments card, wonder if they will get intouch, doubt it tho.

Got the Viking festival this weekend down in largs... real vikings set up a village on the front, their is a craft and world foods market, usually have some sort of air display, and lots of stuff for the kids, it lasts a week, but the first Saturday is always the best. At night they react the last Viking attack and then burn a 'long boat' in the sea, and start off a fireworks display. We'll be missing that this year as I'm working... but it is very late for son anyways.

On the look out for a chicken pie recipe, I got chicken from the butchers, made a casserole yesterday, and looking to do a pie and maybe try s curry too.

Hi Lola, I hope there is good news about your cat soon.

That Viking festival sounds fantastic! wish we could get up there. DH's family are descendants of Vikings.

Lola cats often come back ages after they've gone so hopefully there will be good news.

A lady at the vets last week was telling me she was feeding a stray for about a year and then her son decided he would take it so took it to the vets to be deflead etc and it turned out it was micro chipped so they contacted the owner who lived in Crouch End when the cat was in Stamford Hill which are quite some distance apart.
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

My daughter's cat went missing for 4 months once. She was eventually found as a stray by someone who had the sense to look on her collar, where there was DD's phone no. Apparently she'd been seen living in a student house, and at the end of the summer term was just left to stray when they all moved out!
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!

    Awk, poor cat!
MalleyCat doesn't have a collar :( she was great at getting it off, found it in the most randomest of places.
Had her booked to get microchiped for Tuesday past.
Got the paper and the pet section isn't there, it must be Saturdays... have put a post on fb asking for the number so hopefully I'll get it that way.

  • Had a look at the free choccies thread, and couldn't believe some of the posts. Some people have "bought" several, using different email accounts, which has prompted posters to boast about how many they've acquired.

But one poster couldn't get the free delivery code to work, so phoned the company to complain about this, having pointed out they'd got the free choccies for buying a 13p pencil sharpener, and was miffed because "the operator sounded huffy"!!!!!!!!!!

I'm more than happy with my one large box, and quite proud of myself that I haven't removed the selotape yet!!! Hope everyone has a lovely holiday weekend.

    xx
