morning all
was very happy with my shop yesterday, its the 1st big shop in about 3 months so have done well. i saved £4.58 so spent about £41 and had 44 items, £6 of that was on beef as well. so i am happy. i know that i got enough food here for at least 2 months now, will just need to get milk, bread and cat biscuits weekly.
managed to get the free blue dragon stir fry shot sauce, already had 2 chicken breasts here so picked up a family size stir fry pack for £1.50, its huge lol. will be able to get stir fry out of it for today and tomorrow, the rest will be separated and frozen. figured it can be used in pretty much anything, omelette, pasta curries, broths ets. not bad for £1.50 and there seems to be nice mixture of veg in there, mm cant wait plus it something i have not had for yrs.
nothing exciting going on today, hope you all have a peaceful sunday.
luv P

Hi all - have just discovered this thread and think you are all doing a great job - I have never had to worry about money as my husband had a well paid job but saying that we never have any money - no sooner do I take money out its spent on our four kids. A few months ago my husband became ill and was advised to change job as he was working 80 hrs a week. We decided his health was worth far more to us than any amount of money so his last day in the job will be this friday coming and he is going to retrain for a caring career which he has always wanted to do......... anyway after reading all the posts on here I am quite positive about being frugal and quite excited about it although I might possibly need some help along the way. Hope you dont mind.0

Hello everyone
Had a lovely swim in the freezing cold!
I was in a lot of pain today and that has helped loosen me up a bit!
Then I went to the Mr T's at Liverpool Street in search of bargains - Sandra mentioned it originally and then my Sister in Law mentioned it the other week.
It wasn't brilliant but I did get a few good bargains.
If I was a Beefeater I could have had a few more!:rotfl:
Hope everyone is fine and dandy - will have a looksee. Here dead we lie because we did not choose

But young men think it is,

Hi Brien. Welcome aboard. Don't forget to sign up for the 2012 frugal thread here link Some of us are still posting on here and there's also posts already up and running on the 2012 thread. Does that make sense? I'm sure there's an easier way of saying all that
Good to have you with us
Went to a Christmas Church Service today which was beautiful, traditional carols and some lovely readings. That to me is what Christmas is about and it was just what I needed to cheer me up.
I've still got loads to do but I'm not rushing, I'm taking it slow and it'll all get done...(she says with fingers crossed, touching wood at the same time)
Hope everyone is ok in this icy weather
Warm hugs

Good Morning.
Feeling so, so tired - still in bed!
Dizzy yes it is a Lido - I haven't progressed to swimming in the ponds yet but hope to get acclimatised next year. That church visit sounds lovely.
Well I don't think I will ever buy a ready meal again even if it does cost pennies!

:hello: everyone, hope you're all managing to stay warm
I've not been far today - it's cold outside and OH is at work so I've stayed warm on the sofa, drinking copious amounts of teaI will have to do some food shopping either tomorrow or Wednesday, but I think on the christmas present front, we are very nearly sorted
I'm waiting for some DVDs to come in the post for OH, I'm hoping they'll arrive soon...
This evening I'm making a chili for tea as we have all of the ingredients inso a nice frugal tea for us, with a HM flapjack for pud
Stay safe and keep warm everyoneBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
