Hello Ladies,
I hope you don't mind me joining you. I have signed up for the 2012 challenge but my shiny new spreadsheet starts today. Can you believe its December the 1st already, where on earth has this year gone!! I'm hoping to be more frugal and build up our savings next year, DH has retired and I only work 12hours so we are on a very limited income, we just get a small private pension and I'm on minimum wage.
Had a marathon bake up today as my son and family are coming up to see us at the weekend and they always like to take back some home baking. Loaded the dishwasher and its gone BANG!! and filled the kitchen with blue smoke  Just waiting for some more hot water so I can empty it and wash up by hand:( 23rdspiral I'm now feeling sorry for myself too, could do without the expense of a new machine before Christmas, I hope your repairs don't cost you too much.
natnat13 I hope you start to feel a bit better now you have released some of your commitments, I know what you mean about feeling bogged down, the more you do the more you get put upon. I felt tons better a couple of years ago when I resigned from loads of committees.
I am looking forward to getting to know you all, I have been lurking for a few weeks and thought it was time to say hello.0 -
Hi everyone, sorry I have not caught up yet
Lidl have their 100g milk chocolate bars for just 17p (half price) this weekendWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Sorry everyone, bit less moody now!
Welcome to flourgirl :hello:
Buy the telegraph this weekend and there's a £10 voucher for Lidl (£60 spend) but it has to be used by Tues, I might do it I need a big shop and have got things to buy to finish off hampers, but the paper is £2 so it's only £8 off really! Still, that's over 10% potentially!Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.
Keen to live a healthly lifestyle and save money0 -

thank you for warm welcomes
am back from my 4 days away visiting distant friends and family ( in the geographical sense not emotional sense) .. i hope
i have been inspired to write a spending diary i did look at the spread sheet but they are a foreign language to me and dont know how to use them so will use good old fashioned pen n ink for now till i have time to look at techno advances
have opened my sealed pot challenge to a whopping £582 and have joined up with this months grocery challenge so i hope to stay within my budget
am having debates about how best to dry my washing its so cold and damp most of the day so outside is not a consideration
tumble drier is  i have one of those electric monitors very frightenning
my radiators are only on low and dont want to introduce condenastion so am trying out the washing on a large clothes airer in dd bedroom while she is away at uni , with the de humidifier on eco setting using 200w but not the heating bit as that seems dearer to run but not anyway as much as tumble .. will see how it gets on
was loooking at the elctric airers from lakeland as they dont seem to use much electric but shall see how i get on with this way first as reluctant to shell out more money now i am a frugal warrior
am busy trying to finish off various knitting projects to go with DS and DD christmas
am recording the money savin programme to watch later on
have a grand evening everyone
